JAMB 2019 Registration Forms, Exam Date Released

We wish to inform candidates seeking admission into various tertiary institutions (universities, polytechnics and colleges of education) in Nigeria that another UTME is already on the way. The examination would be for students who are currently in SS 3, older JAMB candidates who could not make it into school in 2018 and other suitably qualified candidates who wish to be part of the exercise.

According to the Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, registrations for the 2019 JAMB UTME is supposed to begin by the end of October, during a meeting with Journalists in Abeokuta.

Currently, the full details (registration details, exam dates and other modalities) are not yet available and we intend to use this post to closely monitor the progress of JAMB and to update you when the 2019 JAMB Registration Portal (@www.jamb.org.ng) is activated. So you can bookmark or save this page on your browser for easier access.

Meanwhile, I will drop a few available information on 2019 JAMB that you need to know:

  1. The 2019 edition of JAMB’s UTME might be different from the previous ones. This is inferred from a statement made by the Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede. He said, “I can assure you that we are fine-tuning and learning from our mistakes last year. We are perfecting the processes and procedures, ensuring that no one is allowed to have undue advantage over the others.” This implies that JAMB might introduce another set of rules to further standardize the conduct of the 2019 UTME.
  2. JAMB will not reduce the UTME registration fee.
  3. JAMB is going to put in place some checks to ensure that people who want to apply are minimally qualified. This means that students in SS1 who just want to try JAMB might be disqualified from participating in the exam.

As already pointed out above, information on the actual dates for conducting the 2019 UTME is also yet to be ascertained, but the Registrar has assured the public that it would not clash with the coming 2019 Elections. If you keep following us, we shall update you on this post as soon as the remaining information are officially released.

While we wait for that, you can Check

For candidates who are still expecting their names on of the various admission lists for the 2018/2019 academic session, you are advised to always check your admission status on JAMB Caps. Sales of 2019 JAMB form does not put an end to Admissions for 2018/2019. In fact, admissions are likely to go on in some schools even till next year.
