The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) will commence online registration for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on January 13, 2020. JAMB Registrar, Prof Is-haq Oloyede said at a stakeholders meeting for CBT Centre operators and others at the University of Lagos on Thursday that the sale of e-PINs for the examination would last for six weeks. Even though the actual examination dates were not announced.
The centres were only given seven days from today to complete the test that would ensure all their computers were in shape and could communicate with the JAMB control room in Abuja. However, it was extended after the CBT operators appealed. Oloyede said the registration for the examination would be done only by 718 accredited CBT centres spread across the country. He said a number of features had been introduced to ensure candidates had more control over their details that they shared with the board for the registration. The JAMB Registrar thanked the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) for carrying the board along regarding the election time table.
