This part of the JAMB brochure shows you the requirements to apply for Building Technology under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology in Nigeria. You will see the UTME subject combination needed to apply for the course, O’level requirements for UTME candidates, requirements such A’level, ND, HND, NCE, etc for Direct Entry candidates, as well as other information you require to successfully apply for the course.

JAMB Subject Combination for Building Technology

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Building Technology under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology in the institutions listed above are: ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks (JAMB Brochure for Building Technology)

(i) ABU requires Mathematics, Physics plus any one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Geography, Economics, Biology and Technical Drawing.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates (JAMB Brochure for Building Technology)

To apply for Building Technology as a UTME candidate, you require. Five SSCE credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Physics. Chemistry and any one of Geography, Economics, Arts and Technical drawing. For holders of NTC, the other relevant subjects could be Intro. to Building Construction. Bricklaying, Concreting, Walls, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Building/Engineering Drawing, Joinery, Carpentry, Gas, Steam Work and Bronze Welding, Cold/Hot Water Supply, Sanitation and Drainage.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks (JAMB Brochure for Building Technology)

(i) BELLS requires Five SSCE Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics. Physics, Chemistry and any one from the following. Biology, Technical Drawing, Geography, Economics, Building Construction..

(ii) COVENANT requires English Language, Mathematics, Physics and additional two credit passes in the following subjects: Chemistry, Economics, Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics, Geography, Land Surveying, Building Construction, Biology and Agricultural Science. At least a pass in Chemistry is also required.

(iii) ABSU requires five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two subjects from Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Geography, Arts and Economics or any NTC relevant subjects.

(iv) BAUCHI requires five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Any other two subjects from Chemistry, Geography, Economics, technical Drawing or relevant trade subjects.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates (JAMB Brochure for Building Technology)

To apply for Building Technology as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) BAUCHI accept ND/HND lower credit in relevant courses.

(ii) BELLS accepts:
(a) Two A’ Level passes from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
(b) ND/HND (Upper Credit respectively) Building Technology.
