This part of the JAMB brochure shows you the requirements to apply for Education and Language Arts under the Faculty of Education in Nigeria. JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Education and Language Arts under the Faculty of Education in the institutions listed above are:

Any three of Yoruba, Lit. in English, Christian Religious Knowledge, History, Economics and Islamic Religious Studies.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for Education and Language Arts as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credits including English Language plus at least two subjects from Economics, Geography/Physics, Government, Home Economics, History, Arabic, Social Studies, Fine Arts, Music and Literature in English.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) OAU requires ‘O’ level credits in English Literature and Yoruba or French.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for Education and Language Arts as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two relevant NCE/’A’ level passes.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) OAU requires ‘A’ level passes to include Literature in English and Yoruba or French. It also accepts Associates hip Certificate of the University with a merit pass or its equivalent and UTME requirements.
