JAMB Subject Combination for Electrical / Electronic Engineering

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Electrical / Electronic Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology in the institutions listed above are: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) NTNU accepts any three Science subjects.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates (JAMB Brochure for Electrical / Electronic Engineering)

To apply for Electrical / Electronic Engineering as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes to include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Language and any other Science subject.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks (JAMB Brochure for Electrical / Electronic Engineering)

(i) ANSU and ESUTECH accept a pass in English Language.

(ii) NDU requires five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other subject in not more than two sittings.

(iii) OSUSTECH and UNILAGOS require credit pass in Further Mathematics.

(iv)UI accept ND/HND at upper credit level.

(v) UI accepts 2 ‘A’ level passes in Physics and Mathematics plus UTME requirements. Accepts also ND/HND at upper credit level {65%} accepted to 200/300 Upper levels respectively plus UTME requirements. Knowledge of Further Mathematics is an advantage for all Engineering Courses.

(vi) COVENANT requires O/L five credit in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and either of Further Mathematics, Biology or Technical Drawing.

(vii) NTNU accepts English Language, Mathematics and either Physics or Chemistry and any other two Science subjects.

(viii) FUTA requires at least five credit passes in subjects which include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at NOT more than two (2) sittings..

(ix) BELLS require five SSCE Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and any other Science subject.

(x) NTNU accepts credit pass in Geography as the fifth Science subject.

(xi) FUNAAB requires credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.

(ii) FUTO accepts any other Science subjects as the fifth subject and not more than two sittings.

(xiii) FED-OYEEKITI requires five Credit Passes in SSCE (or its equivalent) including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and one Science or Social Science subject.

(xiv) UNN requires five O’ level credit passes to include, Physics, Chemistry Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates (JAMB Brochure for Electrical / Electronic Engineering)

To apply for Electrical / Electronic Engineering as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks (JAMB Brochure for Electrical / Electronic Engineering)

(i) UNIPORT and NDU – No Direct Entry.

(ii) ABUAD accept ND (upper credit), HND (lower credit) in relevant areas plus UTME requirements.

(iii) ABUAD and and CRUTECH requires three A’ level passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

(i4) BAUCHI, AAU, and LAUTECH do not accept P.7 in English Language

(v) MOUA and OOU accept ND/HND into appropriate levels plus UTME requirements.

(vi) NTNU accepts ND /HND in relevant fields plus UTME requirements.

(vii) UNIUYO accepts ND /HND in relevant fields plus UTME requirements.

(viii) NTNU accepts any two A’ level passes in Science subjects, ND/HND (lower credit) or NCE (merit) in relevant fields.

(ix) MAUTECH accepts:
(a) GCE `A’ level passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
(b) Upper credit in ND (Electrical/Electronics Engineering)
(c) HND (Electrical/Electronics Engineering)

(x) OAU accepts ND/HND passed at upper credit.

(xi) MOUA accepts ND/HND/lower credit in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

(xi) EKSU accepts candidates with ND in Electrical Engineering (Upper credit) and HND (Lower credit) in Electrical Engineering.

(xii) FUTA accepts ND (Upper Credit) or equivalent professional qualification in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or related discipline or ) Good passes at the Advanced Level of General Certificate of Education or its equivalent in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics..

(xiii) ESUTECH and BAUCHI accept ND and HND in relevant field with UTME requirements.

(xiv) UNIBEN accept HND (lower credit) and ND (upper credit) plus UTME requirements.

(xv) UNIBEN – in addition to UTME requirements requires:
(a) First Degree Second Class Lower in the Sciences or Agric; Degree in Medicine, Dentistry or Pharmacy and PTI HND (Lower Credit) / ND (Upper Credit).
(b) HND (Upper credit) in Engineering/Technology and PTI (HND (Upper credit) into 300 levels.
(c) ND / HND holders should have ‘A’ grade in Mathematics.

(xvi) UNILAG accepts;
(a) Very good passes in three (3) JUPEB/A-LEVEL subjects: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry.
(b) HND/ND (Distinction) or A/Level Cambridge.
(c) Candidate must satisfy the O/Level requirement

(xvii) NDU accept GCE `A’ Level credit passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or equivalent.

(18) FUAM accepts
a) Two `A’ level/IJMB passes in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
b) Candidates with HND Upper Credit and First Class Degree holders in relevant disciplines may be admitted at 300 level.
c) Candidates with HND Lower Credit, ND Upper Credit, and NCE (Technical) may be admitted at 200 level.

(xix) FUNAAB accept GCE `A’ Level credit passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or equivalent.

(xx) FUNAAB accepts ND (Upper Credit) in Agricultural Engineering or relevant disciplines.

(xxi) LAUTECH accepts:
(a) GCE ‘A’ Level Passes in Pure Mathematics, Physics, Applied Mathematics or Chemistry.
(b) ND with Upper Credit/ HND in Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (plus UTME requirements) may be considered for admission into 200 level.

(xxii) FUTA accepts ND at Upper Credit level or other equivalent professional qualification in the relevant discipline or Good passes at the Advanced Level of General Certificate of Education or its equivalent in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.

(xxiii) UNIOSUN accepts ND (lower credit) in Electrical/Electronics.

(xxiv) BELLS accepts;
(a) Two A’ Level passes from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
(b) ND/HND (Upper Credit respectively) in Computer Engineering, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering

(xxv) UI accepts 2 ‘A’ level passes in Physics and Mathematics plus UTME requirements. Accepts also ND/HND at upper credit level {65%} accepted to 200/300 Upper levels respectively plus UTME requirements. Knowledge of Further Mathematics is an advantage for all Engineering Courses.

(xxvi) UNIILORIN requires ‘A’ level passes in Physic, Mathematics and Chemistry. Accepts ND/HND upper credit in relevant subjects, plus one year post ND/HND experience.

(xxvii) FUNAAB accepts GCE `A’ Level credit passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or equivalent. It accepts ND (Upper Credit) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or relevant disciplines.

(xxviii) NDA requires the other Science subject from Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics, Biology and Geography.

(xxix) UNN – require A/L passes in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics plus UTME requirement.

(xxx) UNN accepts:
(a) HND/ND/NCE in relevant fields
(b) Complete pass in Intermediate ICAN examination or equivalents`
(c) Pass in final exams of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries.

(xxxi) UNIJOS requires ‘A’ level or IJMB passes in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. It also accepts ND (credit level) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognised institution may be considered provided the candidate has credit pass in Mathematics at O’ level.

(xxxii) FUTO requires at least two ‘A’ Level passes not below Grade C in Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry. It also accepts ND/HND (Upper Credit) in Engineering. Candidates must in addition meet UTME ‘O’ Level requirements. It does not accept First Degree or NCE
