JAMB Subject Combination for Fine Art

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Fine Art under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology in the institutions listed above are: Chemistry, Mathematics and Fine Art/Physics

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks (JAMB Brochure for Fine Art)

(i) OAU requires Fine Arts and two other subjects. The two subjects to be chosen from options in UTME requirements.

(ii) ABU requires Using of English, Fine Arts and any two other subjects.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates (JAMB Brochure for Fine Art)

To apply for Fine Art as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Fine Art, Mathematics, Chemistry. Spinning; Weaving; Surface Design and Printing; Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing; Ceramics; Graphic Design; Graphic Printing; Decorative Painting, Spray Painting, Lining, Sign and Design, Wall Hanging, Colour Mixing/Matching and Glazing, Building/Engineering Drawing, General Wood Work.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) OAU ‘O’ level courses should include English Language, Fine Art and any three of History, Religious Knowledge, Igbo, Yoruba, Literature-in-English, Music, French and Economics.

(ii) ABU requires five ‘O’ level passes two of which must include English Language and Fine Arts

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for Fine Art as a Direct Entry candidate, you require:
(i) ‘A’ level passes in Two of Fine Arts, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
(ii) ND in Industrial Design or Glass Technology or Fine Art at Credit

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) OAU requires
(a) Candidates to submit portfolio of their work to H. O.D. Fine Arts.
(b) accepts HND (upper credit) to the higher levels of the course.
(c) Two ‘A’ level passes in Fine Arts and one other subject. Other subject must be History, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Music, and Literature-in- English or French.

(ii) ABU accepts
(a) A/L/IJMB passes in Fine Arts as one other subjects
(b) NCE with a minimum of Merit in Fine Arts.

(iv) HND in Fine Arts or related field with a minimum of Lower Credit passes
