JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study History and Strategic Studies under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the institutions listed above are:

History and any other two subjects from Arts and Social Sciences.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNILAG requires History, Government one other Arts subject and any other subject.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for History and Strategic Studies as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes to include History and English Language.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNILAG requires credit passes in History/Government, English Language and any one of Arts subjects from Literature in English, CRK, IRS, Fine Arts, Yoruba or Igbo plus one other subject. Accepts Government in lieu of History

(ii) RUN accept a pass in Mathematics.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for History and Strategic Studies as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes in History and any other related subjects.
