JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study International Studies under the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences in the institutions listed above are:

Economics, Literature- in- English and Geography/Government/History

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) ABU requires Government/History and any two of Economics, Geography, Civic Education, French, Arabic, IRS and CRS.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for International Studies as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Government, History and three relevant subjects.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) ABU requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Government, or History and any other two Social Sciences or Arts Subjects

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for International Studies as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes in Social Science subject from Government/History, Economics, Sociology and Business Management

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) ABU accepts three ‘A’ level/IJMB from any of the following subjects: Government, History, Sociology, Economics, Geography, Arabic, French.
