JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Mechatronics Engineering Technology under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology in the institutions listed above are:

Mathematics,
Chemistry,
Physics/Technical
Drawing.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for Mechatronics Engineering Technology as a UTME candidate, you require: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and any two subjects from:Biology/Agricultural Science Technical Drawing,Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics,Metal Work,Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Tech.),Further Mathematics English Language, Geography,Economics/Commerce.At least a credit pass in English Language is required

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for Mechatronics Engineering Technology as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i)Basic Apprenticeship Training Qualification (BATC in any Mechanical Engineering craft) or

(ii)Lower credit in Elementary Certificate in any Mechanical Engineering craftpractice, Auto Mechanic Tools, Plants etc) or

(iii) Any Technical SSCE/NABTEB with 2 years working experience in the Mechanical Engineering outfit or

(iv)Any other qualification acceptable to the Polytechnic

(v)PLAPOLY: requires four O/ credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any one from Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Sci, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics, Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work etc

(vi)BAUCHIPOLY: requires credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any one of Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, basic Electronics, basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, metal Work etc.

(vii)IBDANPOLY :requires candidates to have attempted Further Mathematics as part of
course requirement.
