In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Political Science and International Studies under the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences in the institutions listed above are:

Three Arts or Social Science subjects

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) CRESCENT require History or Government and any two Arts or Social Science subjects.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for Political Science and International Studies as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes including English Language Government or History and at least a pass in Mathematics

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) CRESCENT requires five (5) O’ level credits at SSCE, GCE, NECO or approved equivalent which must include English Language, Mathematics, and any other three subjects as may specified by each Faculty.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for Political Science and International Studies as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes in Government and one other Social Science subject

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) CRESCENT accepts NCE, ND, HND and their approved equivalents with at least lower credit may be admitted to the appropriate level.
(a) IJMB at acceptable grades levels.
(b) In exceptional cases, holders of ND with lower credit from recognized institutions may be admitted to 200 level (part II) in relevant degree programmes, provided they satisfy the minimum requirements stipulated for entry into 100 level
(c) HND with lower credit from recognized institutions may be admitted into 200 level in the relevant degree programmes provided they satisfy the minimum requirements stipulated for entry into 100 level.
