This part of the JAMB brochure shows you the requirements to apply for Statistics Education under the Faculty of Education in Nigeria. You will see the UTME subject combination needed to apply for the course, O’level requirements for UTME candidates, requirements such A’level, ND, HND, NCE, etc for Direct Entry candidates, as well as other information you require to successfully apply for the course.

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Statistics Education under the Faculty of Education in the institutions listed above are:

Mathematics and any two of the following Science subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) FUAM requires Mathematics, Biology and Physics.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for Statistics Education as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics plus one other Science subject.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) MAUTECH requires:
(a) five (5) ‘O’ level credits in the SSCE/WASC/NECO/GCE in relevant subjects including, English and Mathematics.
(b) Grade II Teachers’ Certificate with a minimum of merit grade in at least five (5) relevant subjects including English and Mathematics.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for Statistics Education as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level/NCE passes in Mathematics and one Science subject.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) MAUTECH accept NCE in relevant subjects not below merit.
