- Thëy are ductile (can be drawn into wires).
- They have high melting and boiling points.
- They have shiny surfaces when polished (lustrous).
b. Difference between ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals:
Ferrous metals contain iron and are usually magnetic, e.g., steel and cast iron. Non-ferrous metals do not contain iron and are usually non-magnetic, e.g., copper and aluminium.

a. Wood work machines are machines that are used to shape, cut, and finish wooden materials in carpentry and furniture making.
