Introduction to CRS as a School Subject
Christian Religious Studies (CRS) is a subject that teaches students about the Bible, the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, and how to live a good and moral life. It helps students understand Christian values such as love, honesty, obedience, and forgiveness. Through CRS, students learn the stories of people in the Bible and how their faith in God helped them. The subject also encourages students to build good character and live peacefully with others in society.
The subject is offered by students in Primary school and Secondary School as Christian Religious Studies.
CRS Exam Questions for JSS1 Third Term
CRS Exam Questions for JSS1 Third Term are divided into three sections:
- Section A
- Sêction B
- Section C
The first section, namely, Section A is the objective test, and students are expected to attempt all questions in the section. Section B is subjective, requiring students to supply their own answers. Esther saved her people, the Jews, from the wicked plan of Haman through courage, prayer, and wisdom. Haman had plotted to destroy all the Jews in the kingdom of Persia and had even convinced King Ahasuerus to sign a decree to that effect.
When Mordecai, Esther’s cousin, learned about the plot, he urged Esther to approach the king. Though it was risky to appear before the king without being summoned, Esther asked the Jews to fast and pray for her. She then invited the king and Haman to a banquet. At the second banquet, Esther revealed her Jewish identity and exposed Haman’s plan. The king became angry and ordered that Haman be hanged on the very gallows he had prepared for Mordecai. Esther’s bravery saved the Jews from destruction.
