JAMB UTME Subject Combination
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Agricultural Technology under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology in the institutions listed above are:
Biology/Agric. Sci,
Chemistry and any other Science subject
O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates
To apply for Agricultural Technology as a UTME candidate, you require: Biology/Agricultural Science,
Mathematics and any three of the following:
Geography,
Food and Nutrition,
Economics,
Technical Drawing,
English Language,
Physics,
Chemistry,
Nigerian Language,
Home Economics.
At least credit passes in English Language and Chemistry are compulsory
Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates
To apply for Agricultural Technology as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i) OZORO and PLASCAG require at least a pass in English and Mathematics /Statistics in addition FCFTIB requires a pass grade in Chemistry
(ii) FCLRT0 requires at least a pass in English Language.
(iii) FCAA requires at least a pass in English Language and Mathematics. Accepts four credit passes in NBTE recognized Pre-ND course offered in a Polytechnic or similar post-Secondary Institutions.
(iv) FCFJOS Requires either of Biology/Agricultural Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics or Geography as UTME subject
(v) BUPOLY – requires Mathematics and any two subjects from Physics, Geography, Biology/Agricultural Science and Economics as UTME subjects.
(vi) RUGIPO accepts a pass in English Language and Physis
(vii) IBADAN-POLY requires at least a Pass in English Language.
(viii) COAMOKWA requires credit pass in Chemistry, Physics and Home Economics as course requirement.
(ix) YABATECH accepts Geography, Economics, Statistics or Physics as UTME subject.
(x) BAUCHI-POLY: accepts Chemistry, Agric/Biology and any two other science subjects: Economics, geography, Physics, at lease passes in English and Mathematics.
(xi) IMO-POLY requires at least pass in chemistry and Statistics. Requires credit in English Language (not Literature in English).
(xii) FCFTIB requires at least a pass in English Language, Mathematics and Chemistry.
(xiii) OZORO requires credit passes in Chemistry, Biology and Agricultural Science.
(xiv) TOPS accepts Animal Husbandry in lieu Agriculture
UTME Subjects
(ix) RUGIPO accepts Economics.
ii. FCFJOS requires either of Biology/Agricultural Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics or Geography.
iii. TOPS requires Mathematics
