In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Mathematics under the Faculty of Sciences in the institutions listed above are:
Mathematics and any two of Physics, Chemistry and Economics or Geography.

(ii) UNIOSUN, FED-LAFIA, UNAAB, LASU, IGBINEDION, OAU and FUTO require Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
(iii) BINGHAM, BOWEN, UNIPORT, EBSU, DELSU and MAUTECH require Mathematics and any two of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Do not accepts Geography.
(iv) AAUA and EKSU require Physics.
(v) CRUTECH requires Maths, Physics and any of Biology, Chemistry and Geography.
(vi) NDU and BSU require Mathematics and any 2 of Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Geography.
(vii) DELSU requires Mathematics, Economics and any of Physics/Chemistry/Biology, Geography or Industrial Mathematics.
(viii) CRESCENT accepts Geography
(ix) AAUA accepts Chemistry.
(x) AL-HIKMAH accepts Economics and Geography.
(xi) BELLS does not accept Economics or Geography
(xii) UNIZIK and UNIPORT do not accept Geography
(xiii) ABU requires Mathematics and any two of Physics, Chemistry Geography or Biology.
(xiv) NTNU requires Mathematics and any other two Science subjects.
(xv) UNILAG requires Mathematics, Physics and one of Chemistry/Economics/Geography.
(xvi) PAUL requires Mathematics, Physics and Biology/Agric. Science/Chemistry/Geography.
(xvii) WESTERN-DEL requires Mathematics and any two of Physics, Chemistry, Economics and Geography.
(xviii) FUPRE requires Mathematics and two of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science.
(xix) UNIBEN accepts Mathematics, Physics and any of Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science.
(xx) SOUTHWESTERN and OSUSTECH require Mathematics, Physics and any one of Chemistry or Biology.
(xxi) KWASU requires English chosen course and any Two From Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Further Mathematics.
(xxii) TASU accepts Mathematics and any two of Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Biology and Agricultural Science.
(xxiii) EVANGEL accepts Biology as one of the two other subjects.
(xxiv) FED-DUTSE accepts Biology as one of the two other subjects.
(xxv) MOUAU requires Mathematics and any two of Physics, Chemistry and Geography or Economics.
(xxvi) FED-LOKOJA requires one of Chemistry, Agricultural Science or Biology as the third subject.
(xxvii) FUTA requires Mathematics and any two of Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Biology and Agricultural Science.
(xxviii) NTNU accepts any Science subjects.
(xxix) CALEB accepts Mathematics and any two Science subjects.
(xxx) UNIABUJA accepts Biology as one of the other two subjects.
O’Level Requirements for Mathematics for UTME Candidates (JAMB Brochure for Mathematics)
To apply for Mathematics as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry

(i) ANSU, UNIMAID and UNIZIK accept a pass in English Language.
(ii) UNILORIN accepts Biology, Mathematics and Physics.
(iii) UNIZIK accepts Economics in lieu of Physics/Chemistry.
(iv) FUTO requires at least five ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and any other Science subject in not more than two sittings.
(v) DELSU accepts Maths and any two of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Further Mathematics.
(vi) CRUTECH, KWARARAFA and BOWEN accept Mathematics, Physics and two other Science subjects.
(vii) AAUA and EKSU require a pass in Chemistry
(viii) IMSU and ABSU require Physics IMSU accepts a pass in English Language.
(ix) OAU accepts English Language, Mathematics and any two of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Add. Mathematics.
(x) UNIOSUN, UNIBEN, IGBINEDION, BSU and IMSU accept English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and any other relevant science subject.
(xi) NDU requires five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and any other Science subjects
(xii) UNIBADAN requires 5 ‘O’ level credits passes including English Language, Mathematics and any two/three of the following: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Further Mathematics or Geography and other subject as the 6th subject.
(xiii) UNIBEN requires Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and one of Biology, Agric. Science, Economics or Geography (for Mathematics). (for Industrial Mathematics) – requires five O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and any three Geography.
(xiv) UNIUYO requires Credit passes in Mathematics and Physics.
(xv) UNIPORT requires credit passes in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
(xvi) CRESCENT requires either Physics or Chemistry in addition to Mathematics and also IJMB at acceptable grade levels.
(xvii) UMYU requires five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and any of Biology/Agricultural Science or Geography in not more than two sittings
(xviii) BELLS requires English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and one Science subject.
(xix) BOWEN does not allow a combination of Biology and Agric. Science but accepts Mathematics and any other two Science subjects.
(xx) WUSTO accepts:
a) Two “A” level passes in Mathematics and either Physics and/or Chemistry.
b) Upper Credit passes in ND in addition to 5 Credits at WASC/GCE O’L / SSCE (or its equivalent).
(xxi) UNAAB requires five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
(xxii) ABU requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and three other subjects two of which must be in Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Geography.
(xxiii) KASU requires Physics and does not accept Economics and Agric. Science.
(xxiv) NTNU accepts English, Mathematics and any other three Science subjects.
(xxv) ABSU requires five SSCE credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry and any two subjects.
(xxvi) GO requires five SSCE credit passes in not more than two sittings in subjects which include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
(xxvii) UNILAG requires credit passes in English, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and any one (1) of Chemistry, Economics and Geography.
(xxviii) MOUA requires five SSCE credit passes in not more than two sittings to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and any other relevant Science subject.
(xxix) PLASU and UNIOSUN require five ‘O’ Level credits in the SSCE including English Language, Mathematics, Physics to form the core subjects, with credit in two other relevant science subjects at not more than two sittings
(xxx) BAYERO does not accept Economics.
(xxxi) PAUL requires SSCE credit passes in not more than two sittings including English Language, mathematics, Physics or Chemistry or Biology.
(xxxii) FUPRE requires five SSCE credit passes including Mathematics, Physics, English Language plus two other Science subjects from Further Mathematics, Chemistry Science. At least a pass in Chemistry and Biology is mandatory.
(xxxiii) LASU requires five SSCE credit passes in Mathematics English Language, Physics, Chemistry and any one of Biology, Economics or Geography.
(xxxiv) OSUSTECH requires five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, plus at least two from Chemistry, Biology and Further Mathematics.
(xxxv) KWASU requires credit passes from English Language, Mathematics and any three of Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Further Mathematics and Agricultural Science.
(xxxvi) TASU accepts credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and at least two of Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Economics, Geography and Further Mathematics.
(xxxvii) EVANGEL accepts credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and at least any three subjects in the following order: Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Agricultural Science.
(xxxviii) OSUSTECH requires credit passes in Physics, plus at least two from Chemistry, Biology and Further Mathematics.
(xxxix) ADELEKE requires credit passes from English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science.
(xl) NDA requires five O’ level credit passes from English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two from Chemistry, Additional/Further Mathematics, Biology and Geography.
(xli) FED-LAFIA requires five credit passes at SSCE including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
(xlii) FED-LOKOJA accepts five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science.
(xliii) FUTA requires five SSCE credit passes including English Language Physics and two other Science subjects.
(xliv) SOUTHWESTERN requires five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics and at least three subjects from Physics, Statistics, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Economics and Geography.
(xlv) UNIABUJA accepts five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) including English, Mathematics and any other three subjects preferably Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and Geography in that order
Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates (JAMB Brochure for Mathematics)
To apply for Mathematics as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i) Two ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics and any other science subject.
(ii) NCE with at least merit in Mathematics and one of Physics, Chemistry or Economics

(i) GOMSU, OAU, AAU, BAYERO, BSU and EKSU accept Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry. EKSU does not accept NCE for Direct Entry.
(ii) RSUST accepts Maths and Physics.
(iii) EKSU, OOU, RSUST, MAUTECH and OAU do not accept NCE.
(iv) ANSU and UNIMAID accept ND/HND in relevant fields.
(v) BIU accepts ND/NCE (Upper credit) passes in relevant field.
(vi) UNIBEN accepts DME (Merit level) in addition to UTME requirements.
(vii) BAYERO accepts Biology. It does not accept Economics.
(viii) NDU, IMSU, UNIPORT and ABSU – No Direct Entry Admission.
(ix) ABSU accepts ND (Upper Credit) and HND (lower credit) plus UTME requirements.
(x) MOUAU requires A’ level passes in Maths and Physics. Accepts ND (Upper credit), HND to 200 level.
(xx) UNILAG accepts very good passes in the following three JUPEB/A-LEVEL subjects: Physics, Mathematics and any one of Chemistry, Economics and Geography and requires a credit in Further Mathematics at O/Level. LAGOS does not accept NCE.
(xxi) MAUTYECH and UNIJOS accept ND (Upper credit) in Computer Science.
(xxii) UNIBADAN accepts Two ‘A’ level subjects including Mathematics and any Science subject OR NCE with at least merit in Mathematics and one other approved Science subject.
(xxiii) DELSU requires ‘A’ level passes in Maths and a Social Sci. Subjects for Ind. Mathematics.
(xxiv) NDU, MAUTECH and BASU accept Economics.
(xxv) UDUSOK and IGBINEDION accept ND (credit in Computer Science or any other Mathematics base subject).
(xxvi) UNIBEN in addition to UTME requirements accepts:
a) ND (Upper credit)/HND (lower credit) in Mathematics / Statistics or Science Laboratory Technology in relevant subjects.
b) NCE (merit) with credit passes in Math or Physics.
(xxvii) FUTA accepts:
a) A’ level passes or equivalent with passes in Mathematics and one of Physics, Economics, Geography, Chemistry and Economics.
b) ND (Upper Credit) in Statistics from recognized institution
c) NCE in Mathematics and any other Physical Science subject with at least a merit pass.
(xxviii) UNIJOS does not accepts National Diploma in Computer Science and Statistics, Geography and Mathematics
(xxix) AAUA requires A’ level passes in both Math and Physics and also accepts ND in Computer Science, Statistics or any other related courses at lower credit level.
(xxx) UNIUYO accepts ND/HND in relevant fields plus UTME requirements.
(xxxi) FUTO requires at least two ‘A’ Level passes not below Grade C in Mathematics and Physics. It accepts ND/HND (Upper Credit) in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science and Engineering. Candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements. It does not accept First Degree and NCE.
(xxxii) UMYU accepts NCE (Mathematics and any other from Physics or Chemistry) with a minimum of 9 points. IJMB (Mathematics and any other from Physics or Chemistry) with a minimum of 9 points.
(xxxiii) AL-HIKMAH accepts two A’level passes in Mathematics.
(xxxiv) BOWEN accepts ‘A’ level /IJMB/NCE/ND or approved equivalent in Mathematics and any one of Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Statistics and Physics.
(xxxv) UNAAB accepts:
(a) ND (Upper Credit) in Physics, Electrical Electronic, Science Laboratory Technology or related fields.
(b) NCE (Credit) in Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science.
(c) Two A’ level credit passes in Physics, Chemistry or Biology.
(xxxvi) UNIOSUN accepts two ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics and other science subject from Physics and Chemistry.
(xxxvii) WESTERN-DEL accepts:
a) Two ‘A’ Level passes to include Mathematics, Physics, Economics or Chemistry.
b) NCE/ND with minimum of merit in relevant subjects.
(xxxviii) LASU accepts Pure Mathematics and Applied Mathematics as separate subjects.
(xxxix) TASU accepts NCE A’ level in Mathematics and any other Science subject, Statistics or Computer Science with merit pass may be admitted in addition to UTME requirement.
(xl) EVANGEL requires second A’ level subject to be either Physics or Chemistry. Does not accept Economics as Science subject.
(xli) FED-DUTSE accepts ND (merit) and IJMB with minimum of eight points.
(xlii) KWASU accepts:
a) Two G.C.E. A/L or its equivalent, one of which must be in relevant subject.
b) ND with (minimum Upper Credit) in relevant field.
c) HND (lower credit) in relevant field.
d) NCE Candidate with minimum of Credit passes in relevant subjects may be considered for Direct Entry Admission provided they possess the necessary O’L requirements
(xliii) OSUSTECH requires:
a) two A’ passes in Mathematics and any one of the following: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics and Geography.
b) National diploma (ND) with Distinction and Credit passes in relevant subjects.
(xliv) ADELEKE requires at least credit pass in Mathematics or Statistics at NCE.
(xlv) MCPHERSON accepts ‘A’ level/NCE/ND/HND or approved equivalent in Mathematics and any one of Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Statistics and Physics.
(xlvi) NTNU accepts any two A’ level passes in Science subjects, ND/HND (lower credit) or NCE (merit) in relevant fields.
(xlvii) ABU accepts:
(a) ‘A’ level/IJMB passes in Mathematics and any two of Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography and Geology.
(b) NCE Mathematics and any of Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography Geology and Computer Science.
(xlviii) SOUTHWESTERN accepts:
(a) Accept NCE merit in Mathematics or National Diploma in Statistics.
(b) NCE/ND/HND (Credit) in related field.
(xlix) UNIABUJA accepts : Two A level Credit Passes in Mathematics and either Physics and /or Chemistry OR NCE (minimum 10 points) with Credit Passes in Mathematics and another Science subject OR ND with Upper Credit in relevant discipline in addition to the ‘O’ level requirements
