JAMB UTME Subject Combination
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Biotechnology under the Faculty of Sciences in the institutions listed above are:
Biology, Chemistry and any other Science subject.
O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates
To apply for Biotechnology as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates
To apply for Biotechnology as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes in Biology/Botany/Zoology and Chemistry or Physics.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) GODFREY for Biotechnology requires two “A” level passes in Chemistry and any one of Physics, Mathematics or Biology. ND/NCE with good grade in relevant “O” level subjects.
(ii) MCPHERSON accepts Five ‘O’ level credit passes in relevant subjects plus ND(upper credit), HND (upper credit) and NCE (merit).
