JAMB Brochure for Forestry And Wildlife Management. This part of the JAMB brochure shows you the requirements to apply for Forestry And Wildlife Management under the Faculty of Agriculture in Nigeria. You will see the UTME subject combination needed to apply for the course, O’level requirements for UTME candidates, requirements such A’level, ND, HND, NCE, etc for Direct Entry candidates, as well as other information you require to successfully apply for the course.

JAMB Subject Combination for Forestry And Wildlife Management

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Forestry And Wildlife Management under the Faculty of Agriculture in the institutions listed above are: Chemistry, Biology or Agriculture and Physics or Mathematics.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks (JAMB Brochure for Forestry And Wildlife Management)

(i) IBBU requires Chemistry, Physics and Biology.

(ii) UDUSOK accept Economics or Geography in lieu of Physics/Mathematics

(iii) UNILORIN and MAUTECH require Chemistry, Physics/ Mathematics and Biology/Agric. Science. UNILORIN accepts Geography in lieu of Physics or Mathematics.

(iv) FUAM requires Chemistry, Biology and any other subject from Physics, Geography, Economics etc.

(v) OOU requires Biology/Agricultural Science and any two of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Economics.

O’Level Requirements for Forestry And Wildlife Management for UTME Candidates

To apply for Forestry And Wildlife Management as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes in English, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and one of Physics, Economics, Further Mathematics and Statistics.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks (JAMB Brochure for Forestry And Wildlife Management)

(i) UNICAL and UNIBADAN require 5 credit passes at one (1) sitting or 6 credit passes at two (2) sittings to include English Language, Biology/Agric science, Chemistry, Mathematics and any one of Geography, Physics and Economics.

(ii) MOUAU accepts Five O’ level credit Passes in not more than two sittings to include: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, or Agricultural Science and any other science subjects. It also requires at least a Pass in Physics. A Credit in Agricultural Science must be backed up with at least a Pass in Biology.

(iii) RSUST – accepts a pass in English language for candidates with five ‘O’ level credits which include Mathematics and Physics.

(iv) RSUST and MAUTECH require at least a pass in Physics.

(v) FUTO requires five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and Economics. It accepts a Pass in Physics in not more than two sittings.

(vi) UNIBEN accepts Statistics and Further Mathematics. Also requires at least a pass in Physics and a pass in Biology for candidates with a credit pass in Agric. Science.

(vii) DELSU accepts a pass in English Language.

(viii) FED-WUKARI requires five O’ level credit Passes in not more than two sittings to include: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, or Agricultural Science and any of Physics, Geography and Economics.

(ix) MOUAU accepts Five O’ level credit Passes in not more than two sittings to include: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, or Agricultural Science and any other science subjects. It also requires at least a Pass in Physics. A Credit in Agricultural Science must be backed up with at least a Pass in Biology.

(x) UNAAB requires:

a) Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics,Chemistry, Physics and Biology.

b) At least a pass in Physics.

c) Candidates with pass grade in Biology must possess credit pass in Agricultural Science. It does not accept Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology.

(xi) FUAM requires a minimum of Five `O’ Level credits passes in English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any of Physics, Geography, Economics and Statistics. A credit in Physics can be substituted for Mathematics and vice versa. However, the candidate is expected to have a minimum of pass in the other subject to benefit from the waiver.

(xii) UNILORIN accepts Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates (JAMB Brochure for Forestry And Wildlife Management)

To apply for Forestry And Wildlife Management as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ’A’ level passes in Chemistry and Biology or Agric Science or Zoology or Botany.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks (JAMB Brochure for Forestry And Wildlife Management)

(i) UNICAL accepts NCE/ND and HND in Agric. Forestry, Wildlife, or Fisheries Management from recognized institutions into 200 Level.

(ii) FUAM accepts:

a) Two A level passes in any of Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Mathematics, Agric. Science, Geology, (Pure and Applied) Physics, Economics.

b) NCE (Agriculture), OND/HND (Forestry, Agriculture and any other Biological Science (Zoology and Botany). HND candidates may be admitted for 300 level while OND/NCE candidates for 200 level.

(iii) RSUST requires HSC/GCE A’ level passes in Chemistry and Biology including English Language, ND/UD (upper credit) in Biology or Agricultural Science for admission to 200 level or HND (credit) in Biology or Agricultural Science for admission to 200 or 300 levels respectively in addition to UTME requirements.

(iv) UNIBADAN accepts National Diploma in Forestry provided ‘O’ level requirements are met.

(v) FUTO requires at least two A’ level passes not below Grade C in Chemistry and any one of Zoology, Botany, Agricultural Science, Biology, Mathematics, Physics and Economics. It also accepts Upper Credit OND/HND in Agricultural Science but does not accept First Degree and NCE. Candidates must in addition meet the UTME O’ level requirements.

(vi) UNIBEN accepts Merit in ND (Upper credit)/HND (Lower credit) in any one of Agric- Economics, Agric-Ext., and Cooperatives, Fisheries, Forestry and Wildlife Mgt., Geology, Advanced Microbiology, Food and Brewing Sc., Science Lab. Tech. plus UTME requirements. NCE in Agric. Science, Biology, Chemistry or Physics (overall merit pass) plus UTME requirements. Does not accept ‘A’ level pass in Health Science.

(vii) UNIUYO accepts OND (upper credit) HND (lower credit), NCE with merit pass in relevant fields plus UTME requirements.

(viii) MAUTECH accepts HND in Agriculture at Credit pass, OND (Distinction) in Agriculture. Does not accept NCE.

(ix) UDU accepts:

a) NCE (Agric) or OND (credit level) in Agric/Forestry.

b) HND (Agric) or Forestry may be admitted into 300 level.

(x) IBBU require ‘A’ level pass in both Chemistry and Biology.

(xi) MOUAU requires ‘A’ level pass in Chemistry and Biology/Botany/Zoology/Agricultural Science.

(xii) UNIMAID accepts ND/NCE/HND and any other similar qualification.

(xiii) IMSU accepts OND/NCE (Double major) and HND in Agriculture.

(xiv) UNICAL requires two (2) A’ level passes in Chemistry and Biology or Agriculture

(xv) UNIBEN accepts Merit in ND (Upper credit)/HND (Lower credit) in any one of Agric- Economics, Agric-Ext., and Cooperatives, Fisheries, Forestry and Wildlife Mgt., Geology, Advanced Microbiology, Food and Brewing Sc., Science Lab. Tech. plus UTME requirements. NCE in Agric. Science, Biology, Chemistry or Physics (overall merit pass) plus UTME requirements. Does not accept ‘A’ level pass in Health Science.

(xvi) UNAAB accepts OND/HND for Direct Entry to 200/300 levels respectively and also accepts:

a) Two A’ level credit passes in Chemistry and one of Zoology/Botany/Agricultural Science/Biology, Mathematics or Physics.

b) ND/HND (Upper credit) in Agriculture from a recognized institution in any one of Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Fisheries, Forestry and Wildlife Management, Agricultural Technology plus UTME requirements.

c) NCE in Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry or Physics (credit) plus UTME requirements.

(xvii) KSUSTA accepts GCE A’ level/NCE/IJMB or its equivalent in Chemistry and any one of Physics, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science with minimum of score prescribe annually by the University Senate; and O’ level credit passes in Chemistry, Mathematics and English language as core and any two (2) of Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, Electrical and Electronics, Technical Drawing. It also accepts ND/HND (at least 2.75 CGPA) in relevant area and O’ level credit passes in Chemistry, Mathematics, and English Language as core and any two (2) of Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science and Geography.
