This part of the JAMB brochure shows you the requirements to apply for Fine Arts And Design under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in Nigeria. You will see the UTME subject combination needed to apply for the course, O’level requirements for UTME candidates, requirements such A’level, ND, HND, NCE, etc for Direct Entry candidates, as well as other information you require to successfully apply for the course.

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Fine Arts And Design under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the institutions listed above are: Fine Art and two other Arts subjects or Social Science subject.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNIPORT accepts any three subjects.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for Fine Arts And Design as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language and Fine Art.

For holders of NTC, the relevant subjects could be General Wood work, Building/Engineering Drawing, Introduction to Building Construction; Decorative Painting; Spray Painting, Linig, Sign and Design; Wall hanging, Colour Mixing/Matching and Glazing; Printing Origination; Machine Printing and Finishing; General Metal Work, Basic Electricity, Spinning, Weaving, Surface Design and Printing; Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing; Graphic Design; Graphic

For holders of NTC, the relevant subjects could be General Wood work, Building/Engineering Drawing, Introduction to Building Construction; Decorative Painting; Spray Painting, Linig,Sign and Design; Wall hanging, Colour Mixing/Matching and Glazing; Printing Origination; Machine Printing and Finishing; General Metal Work, Basic Electricity, Spinning, Weaving, Surface Design and Printing; Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing; Graphic Design; Graphic Printing and Ceramics.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNIPORT requires three subjects from Literature in English, CRK/IRK, Economics, Maths/Biology/Agric. Sc., a Nigerian Language, History/Government and geography.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for Fine Arts And Design as a Direct Entry candidate, you require:

(i) Two ‘A’ level passes in Art or Fine Art and any other subject.

(ii) ND (Upper Credit) HND (Lower credit) from recognised institutions.
