This part of the JAMB brochure shows you the requirements to apply for History and International Relation under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in Nigeria. You will see the UTME subject combination needed to apply for the course, O’level requirements for UTME candidates, requirements such A’level, ND, HND, NCE, etc for Direct Entry candidates, as well as other information you require to successfully apply for the course.

  • Al-Hikmah University
  • Ebonyi State University
  • Fountain University
  • Kwara State University
  • Paul University
  • Veritas University, Abuja

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study History and International Relation under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the institutions listed above are:

History/Government and any other two subjects from Arts and Social Science.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for History and International Relation as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Geography, Government/History.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) EBSU requires credit pass in Mathematics

(ii) KWASU require Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, History/Govt. plus any three others Arts or Social Science subjects.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for History and International Relation as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i) Two ‘A’ level passes/NCE (Upper Credit) in History, Govt and any other related subject.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) AL-HIKMAH accepts two A’ level passes to include History or Government and any other related subject.

(ii) EBSU accepts HND, NCE and ND with a minimum of Merit and Upper credits respectively in relevant fields.

(iii) KWASU requires three A’ level passes in relevant subjects.
