JAMB Subject Combination for Information Technology Under Faculty of Sciences

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Information Technology under the Faculty of Sciences in the institutions listed above are: Mathematics, Physics and one of Biology, Chemistry, Agric Science, Economics and Geography

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks (JAMB Brochure for Information Technology Under Faculty of Sciences)

(i) SALEM require Maths, Physics and Chemistry

(ii) CRESCENT
(a) for Computer Science requires Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
(b) for Information Technology accepts require Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Economics/Biology/Geography.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates (JAMB Brochure for Information Technology Under Faculty of Sciences)

To apply for Information Technology as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics plus two other science subjects

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks (JAMB Brochure for Information Technology Under Faculty of Sciences)

(i) CRESCENT requires five (5) O ’level credits in not more than two sittings at SSCE, GCE or NECO which must include English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Economics.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates (JAMB Brochure for Information Technology Under Faculty of Sciences)

To apply for Information Technology as a Direct Entry candidate, you require:

(i) Two A/L passes in science subjects including Mathematics

(ii) NCE with at least Merit in Mathematics and one other Science or Social Science subject.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) AUN accepts:
(a) AUN accepts ‘A’ level passes chosen from English Language, Mathematics, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Literature in English, Government, History, Economics, Geography, Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Visual Arts, Computer Studies, Information Technology, Civics, and French.
(b) does not accept credit passes in the following; Agriculture, Food and Nutrition, Home Economics, Home Craft, Home management, Physical Education, Physical and Health Education, Music, Commerce, Accounting, Financial Accounting, Book `Keeping, Islamic History, Religious Studies, Tajweed, Library Studies, Diction, Kiswahili, Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Arabic, Turkish, Study skills.
(c) accepts ICGSE and ‘A’ level Cambridge and does not offer admissions direct to 200 level programs. May transfer credits relevant to it’s major at the discretion of the Dean of school.
