JAMB Subject Combination for Meteorology
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Meteorology under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology in the institutions listed above are: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Geography

(i) FUTA requires English Language, Physics, Mathematics and either Chemistry or Geography.
O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates (JAMB Brochure for Meteorology)
To apply for Meteorology as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes including Physics, Mathematics. English Language and either Chemistry or Geography
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks (JAMB Brochure for Meteorology)
(i) FUTA requires five SSCE credit passes at the WASSCE or NECO or GCE O’ Level or its equivalent in NOT more than two sittings in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Geography and any other science subject.
Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates
To apply for Meteorology as a Direct Entry candidate, you require:
(i) ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics and Physics.
(ii) ND (Upper credit level) in Meteorology.
(iii) NMO Class II Certificate in Weather Forecasting, plus ‘O’ level SSCE requirements
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) FUTA accepts GCE (Advance Level) passes or its equivalent in at least two subjects from the following: Physics, Mathematics and either Chemistry or Geography. Holders of WMO Class II certificate are also eligible for admission
