JAMB Subject Combination for Petroleum and Gas Engineering

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Petroleum and Gas Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology in the institutions listed above are: Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.

O’Level Requirements for Petroleum and Gas Engineering for UTME Candidates (JAMB Brochure for Petroleum and Gas Engineering)

To apply for Petroleum and Gas Engineering as a UTME candidate, you require: five SSCE credits to include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language and any one Science subject.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks (JAMB Brochure for Petroleum and Gas Engineering)

(i) UNILAG requires a credit pass in Further Mathematics.

(ii) NTNU accepts English Language, Mathematics and either Physics or Chemistry and any other two Science subjects.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates (JAMB Brochure for Petroleum and Gas Engineering)

To apply for Petroleum and Gas Engineering as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: ‘A’ level passes to include Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks (JAMB Brochure for Petroleum and Gas Engineering)

(i) NTNU accepts any two A’ level passes in Science subjects, ND/HND (lower credit) or NCE (merit) in relevant fields.

(ii) UNILAG requires;

(a) Very good passes in three JUPEB/A-LEVEL subjects: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry,

(b) HND/ND (Distinction) or Cambridge A/Level

(c) Candidates must satisfy O/Level requirement

(d) LAGOS requires an O/Level credit pass in Further Mathematics.
