This is to inform the general public that the Nasarawa State Scholarship Application Form 2024 is now out. So the Nasarawa state scholarship portal is now open for students to apply for Scholarship program. However, the applicants must be of Nasarawa state origin and must meet the following criteria.

Nasarawa State Scholarship Application Form 2024
The Nasarawa State Government Scholarship Award Scheme was created in the ’90s. It has lived up to its expectation of supporting indigenes of the state, especially the poor ones, through education. The scholarship impacts indigenes both within the state and those in other states within the country. The government of Nasarawa state acknowledges the fact that growth and development are they key focus of an ideal state. And there is no better or more guaranteed way to engender these other than allowing the indigenes to fulfill their academic dreams through sponsorship.
Local Government Areas Eligible for Nasarawa State Scholarship
The following local government areas are eligible for the Nasarawa state scholarship scheme. Akwanga, Doma, Eggon, Egon, Karu, Keana, Keffi, Kokona, Lafia, Nasarawa, Obi, Toto, Wamba.
Eligibility and Requirements for Nasarawa State Scholarship Application
Interested applicant must
- be an indigene of Nasarawa state (Certificate of Origin).
- obtain 5 credits including mathematics in SSCE or O’level result in one sitting.
- be 18 years and above.
- possess admission letter from their institution.
- possess JAMB Admission Letter.
- be a full-time student of a recognized institution.
- have a minimum of 2.50 CGPA to apply for Universities and Polytechnics. While 2.00 can apply for College of Education. Medical, engineering and college of Aviation students can apply without CGPA and it’s open to all levels.
- Statement of Result containing your CGPA (That is for University/Polytechnic/ College/ School of Nursing Students etc).
Note that applicants who are students of the following CANNOT apply: Colleges of Nursing, Health Technology. More so, candidates who just got admission (whether via UTME or Direct Entry) are not to apply.
Institutions Covered by the Nasarawa State Scholarship Scheme
Indigenes of Nasarawa state who are undergraduates studying any course in one of the under-listed institutions can apply for scholarship:
- Federal University Lafia
- Nassarawa State University Keffi
- Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa
- Nasarawa State Polytechnic
- College of Education Akwanga
How to Apply for Nasarawa State Scholarship
Follow the simple steps below to apply for Nasarawa state scholarship.

- Go to nasscholarship.com.ng.
- Click on start scholarship.
- Input all necessary personal details required.
- Enter BVN.
- Choose a password and re-enter the password and submit.
- New applicants must get a verification link sent to their email addresses while old applicants should click below for directions.
- After verification Login and finish the registration.
- Upload the following scanned documents:
- SSCE/GCE O’Level Certificate.
- Certificate of origin.
- Admission letter into the institution.
- School ID card.
- The application form should be printed and signed.
NOTE the following:
- The application form is free.
- All application is done only on the website.
- The date for the interview will be announced on the website.
- Come with a copy of the application form duly signed by applicants.
- The deadline for registration is 21st May 2024.
