JAMB Subject Combination for Communication And Wireless Technology

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Communication And Wireless Technology under the Faculty of Sciences in the institutions listed above are: Mathematics, Physics and one of Biology, Chemistry, Agric Science, Economics and Geography

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) OSUSTECH, UNILAG and UNIPORT do not accept Agric. Science, Economics and Geography.

(ii) AJAYI and UNILAG do not accept Agric Science or Economics

(iii) UNN does not accept Agricultural Science.

(iv) UNIOSUN, SALEM, FUNAAB, SALEM, AUE, LASU, UNIILORIN, UI, ANSU, IGBINEDION, EKSU, FUTA and FUTO require Maths, Physics and Chemistry

(v) MAUTECH accepts Mathematics and any other two of UTME requirements except Geography.

(vi) BABCOCK, FUTO, FED-LAFIA and FUTA require Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

(vii) ABU requires Mathematics and any two of Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Geography

(viii) NTNU accepts any Science subjects.

(ix) KWASU accepts:
(a) For Computer Mathematics, Physics and any other science subject.
(b) For Library and information Science any three subjects.
(xi) FED-DUTSE requires Chemistry or Biology as the third subject.

(xii) UNIJOS for Library and Information Science requires any three subjects.

(xiii) FED-LOKOJA requires one of Chemistry, Agricultural Science or Biology as the third subject.

(xiv) CRESCENT
(i) for Computer Science requires Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
(ii) for Information Technology accepts require Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Economics/Biology/Geography.

(xv) AKSU does not require Biology as a compulsory subject

(xvi) SOUTHWESTERN – Same as in Mathematics.

(xvii) UNIABUJA requires Chemistry, Mathematics and any of Physics, Geography, Biology and Economics.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for Communication And Wireless Technology as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics plus two other science subjects

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) RENAISSANE, PHC and ILORIN require credit passes in English, Maths, Physics, Biology and Chemistry. RENAISSANCE requires credit passes at not more than two sittings.

(ii) CRUTECH, AAUA and IMSU accept Maths, Physics plus Chemistry or Statistics/Economics/Geography/Biology

(iii) UNICAL requires the 2 other subjects to be from Chemistry, Biology and Economics

(iv) MADONNA, COOU and IMSU accept a pass in English Language.

(v) COVENANT requires five credit level passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and either of Biology and Agric. Science.

(vi) ANSU requires credits in Physics, Chemistry and accepts a pass in English Language.

(vii) IBADAN requires 5/6 credits passes at one or two sittings to include English Language, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and one other Science subject except Agric Science.

(ix) FED-WUKARI, MINNA, EBSU, LASU and IGBINEDION require five O’ level credit pass to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and one other Science subject.

(x) UNILAG requires English Language, Maths, Physics, Further Mathematics, and Chemistry or Biology.

(xi) UNIJOS accepts a credit pass in Further Maths in lieu of Mathematics.

(xii) UNIBEN requires two Science subject in addition to Mathematics and Physics

(xiii) RENAISSANCE requires Further Mathematics with Physics or Chemistry.

(xv) AJAYI requires The required five (5) credit passes must include: English Language, mathematics and any other three of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Electronics and any other subject at one sitting or six (6) credit passes at two sittings.

(xvi) LAGOS Further Mathematics is compulsory.

(xvii) CRESCENT requires five (5) O ’level credits in not more than two sittings at SSCE, GCE or NECO which must include English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Economics.

(xviii) UMYUK requires five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and any of Biology/Agricultural Science or Geography in not more than two sittings.

(xix) UNN requires five O’ level credit passes to include Mathematics, English Language, Physics and any two from Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and Economics.

(xx) DELSU requires credit passes in any two of Biology, Chemistry, Economics and Geography.

(xxi) BOWEN does not allow the combination of Biology and Agric. Science

(xxii) FUNAAB requires five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.

(xxiii) FUTA requires Five ‘O’ level credits in NOT more than TWO sittings including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry plus one other Science subject.

(xxiv) DELSU accepts Economics and Geography.

(xxv) UNIOSUN requires five ‘O’ level credits in SSCE including Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Physics one other Science subject at one sitting.

(xxvi) ABU requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Geography.

(xxvii) KASU does not accept Economics and Agric. Science as Science Subjects.

(xxviii) NTNU accepts English Language, Mathematics and either Physics or Chemistry and any other two Science subjects.

(xxix) ABSU for Architecture:

(a) requires Five SSCE credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, any three Fine Art, Geography or Wood Work, Biology, Economics, Technical Drawing, Add Mathematics and Chemistry. A credit pass in Chemistry ids not compulsory
(b) For Estate Management: requires Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and one Science subject from Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Agric. Science.
(c) For Urban and Regional Planning: requires Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Geography and any two of Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Government, Biology, Art, History CRK/IRK. A credit pass in Geography is compulsory.
(d) For Information Science: requires Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and at least one Science subject.

(xxx) MOUA same as in Mathematics.

(xxxi) REDEEMER’S requires five ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, plus at least two from Chemistry, Biology and Further Mathematics.

(xxxii) FUTA accepts for Library Science
(i) NCE in Library Science with a minimum of Upper Credit which must be equivalent to Upper Credit at ND.
(ii) National Diploma (ND) from recognized institutions with a minimum of Upper Credit or its equivalent; and
(iii) GCE (Advanced Level) or its equivalent passes in at least two of the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Economics.

(xxxiii) BAYERO accepts only Science subjects in Computer Science, does not accept Economics.

(xxxiv) PAUL requires five SSCE credit passes obtained at not more than two sittings including English Language, Mathematics and Physics

(xxxv) WESERN-DEL requires five SSCE credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Biology, any other Science or Social Science subject

(xxxvi) OSUSTECH requires two other credit passes from Chemistry, Biology and Further Mathematics.

(xxxvii) KWASU accepts:

(a) For Computer credit passes in English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other science subject.
(b) For Library and information Science credit passes in English Language, mathematics and any three other subjects.

(xxxviii) FED-DUTSE requires English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two other subjects.

(xxxix) UNIILORIN for Information and Communication Technology requires credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and at least three subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Agricultural Science, Economics and Geography.

(xi) NTNU accepts credit pass in Geography as one of the other two Science subjects.

(xii) AUE requires five credit level passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry/Physics plus two other Science subjects.

(xiii) FEDMINNA for Cyber Security Science requires five SSCE Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and/or Chemistry and any other Science subject.

(xiv) FED-LAFIA, UMUDIKE and NDA – Same as in Mathematics.

(xv) AKSU does not require Biology as a compulsory subject.

(xvi) SOUTHWESTERN – Same as in Mathematics.

(xvii) FUTO requires at least five ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other Science subject in not more than two sittings.

(xviii) UNIABUJA requires two other Sciences subjects preferably from Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Statistics, Biology or Geography and economics.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for Communication And Wireless Technology as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i) Two A/L passes in science subjects including Mathematics

(ii) NCE with at least Merit in Mathematics and one other Science or Social Science subject.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) BIU, IMSU, UDU and EKSU accept ND in Computer Science or other Mathematically based disciplines with Upper Credit level.

(ii) UNICAL accepts National Diploma plus UTME Requirements

(iii) UNILAG accepts;
(a) Very good passes in the following three JUPEB/A-LEVEL subjects: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or Biology. Candidates must have Further Mathematics at O/Level.
(b) Direct Entry into Computer Science for LAGOS is four years
(c) Does not accept NCE.

(iv) UNIILORIN requires Physics or Chemistry.

(v) UNICAL require Physics as second subject

(vi) BAUCHI requires Physics and Chemistry in addition to UTME requirements.

(vii) AAU and ADSU accept ND (upper credit)/HND (lowercredit) in relevant fields and NCE (merit) in Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science

(viii) UNN – Direct Entry into Computer Science is four years but for combined courses is three years.

(ix) UNIILORIN accepts ND (Computer Science) at Upper credit level or HND (Lower Credit) in Computer Science. Does not accept Diploma in Data Processing.

(x) EBSU accepts HND, NCE and ND with a minimum of Merit and Upper credit respectively in the relevant fields.

(xi) MAUTECH requires in addition to UTME requirement, two credits in ‘A’ level one of which must be Maths. It also accepts ND in Computer Science (Upper Credit) from recognised institution.

(xii) FUTA accepts:

(a) Two ‘A’ Level passes in Science subjects including Mathematics and Physics
(b) National Diploma in Computer Science with at least an Upper Credit.
(c) NCE in Computer Science/Maths, Computer Science/Physics, Maths/Physics with at least Credit Pass in both.

(xiv) NDU accepts NCE (Merit) in Mathematics and one other Science or Social Science subject.

(xv) MOUA and BOWEN – Same as in Mathematics

(xvi) IGBINEDION accepts ND in Computer Science or other Mathematics based course.

(xvii) UNIJOS
(a) For Computer Science requires Physics and accepts ND (Upper credit) in Computer Science/Statistics.
(b) For Library and Information Science requires IJMB passes in at least two subjects, GCE A’ level (in one sitting) with at least four credit passes in GCE, WASC/NECO including English Language or NCE with merit and above in two principal subjects.

(xviii) BENIN, in addition to UTME requirements accepts:
(a) ND Upper credit) HND (Lower Credit) in Data Processing/ Computer Science/Statistics or Science Laboratory Technology.
(b) NCE credit in Mathematics and any other Science Subject.

(xix) AAU accepts ND/HND with credit/upper credit in relevant subjects.

(xx) COOU accepts ND/HND (Lower Credit) in Data Processing or NCE in Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry.

(xxi) CRUTECH – Same as in Biological Science except NCE/ND/HND must be in Computer Science.

(xxiii) TASUED accepts Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry

(xxiv) CRESCENT accepts
(i) NCE, ND ,HND and their approved equivalents in relevant subjects and with at least lower credit may be admitted to the appropriate level in addition to O’ level requirements.
(ii) CRESCENT runs the programme with options in Computer Science/Economics and Computer Science/ Statistics
(iii) A’ level passes in relevant subjects.
(iv) IJMB at acceptable grade levels.

(xxv) UNIJOS does not accept National Diploma in Statistics.

(xxvi) UNIUYO accepts ND/HND in relevant fields plus UTME requirements.

(xvii) FUTO requires at least two ‘A’ level passes not below Grade C in Mathematics and any other Science subject. It also accepts Upper Credit ND/HND in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering. Candidates must in addition meet UTME ‘O’ Level requirements. It does not accept First Degree or NCE.

(xviii) AJAYI requires two ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Studies OR ND Certificate in Computer Studies (Upper Credit) OR two ICT Certificate passes. OR NCE with Distinction/credit in any two of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or Computer Studies in addition to requirements in
(a). (xviv) LASU accepts A’ Level Passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

(xvii) AL-HIKMAH accepts two A’ level passes in Mathematics and Physics and accepts ND/HND (Lower Credit) in Data processing and Computer Science from recognized institution.

(xviii) UI accepts :

(a) Two ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics (Pure or Applied) and Physics.
(b) ND/HND Computer Science or any other Mathematics based courses with grade of Upper Credit.

(xx) FUNAAB accepts:
(a) ND (Upper Credit) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics/Electronics Engineering or related fields.
(b) NCE (Credit) in Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science.
(c) Two A’ level credit passes in Computer Science/Mathematics, Computer Science/Physics with at least credit pass in both.

(xxi) CRESCENT accepts:
(a) Two ‘A’ level passes to include Physics and any of Chemistry, Biology
(b) NCE/ND and approved equivalent of at least Upper Credit in relevant fields.
(c) IJMB at acceptable grade levels.

(xxii) UNIOSUN accepts Any two ‘A’ level passes which must include Mathematics and Physics; A minimum of Lower Credit in ND Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

(xxiii) AUN accepts:

(a) AUN accepts ‘A’ level passes chosen from English Language, Mathematics, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Literature in English, Government, History, Economics, Geography, Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Visual Arts, Computer Studies, Information Technology, Civics, and French.
(b) does not accept credit passes in the following; Agriculture, Food and Nutrition, Home Economics, Home Craft, Home management, Physical Education, Physical and Health Education, Music, Commerce, Accounting, Financial Accounting, Book `Keeping, Islamic History, Religious Studies, Tajweed, Library Studies, Diction, Kiswahili, Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Arabic, Turkish, Study skills.
(c) accepts ICGSE and ‘A’ level Cambridge and does not offer admissions direct to 200 level programs. May transfer credits relevant to it’s major at the discretion of the Dean of school.

(xxiv) KWASU accepts:

(a) Computer Science ND Computer Science at Upper Credit level or HND lower credit level in Computer Science or NCE (Merit) in relevant field.
(b) Library and information Science ND in Library Science at Upper Credit level or NCE (Merit) in relevant field.

(xxv) WESTERN-DEL accepts a) Two ‘A’ Level passes in science subjects including Mathematics.
(b) NCE with at least merit pass in Mathematics, Computer Science and one other science or Social Science subject.

(xxvi) AUE accepts ND (Upper credit) in Computer Science or Electrical Electronics Engineering. NCE (Credit pass) in Mathematics or Computer Science.

(xxvii) CRUTECH – Same as in Biological Science except NCE/ND/HND must be in Computer Science.

(xxviii) RHEMA accepts:
(a) National Diploma plus UTME requirements.
(b) NCE in Computer Science/Mathematics, Computer Science/Physics, Mathematics/Physics with at least credit pass in both.

(xxix) RSUST – Same as Mathematics.

(xxx) AUE requires at least credit pass in Mathematics or Computer Science at NCE.

(xxxi) MCPHERSON two A’ level passes in Mathematics and Physics and accepts ND/HND (Lower Credit) in Data processing and Computer Science from recognized institution, NCE (at least Credit) in Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science is acceptable.

(xxxii) CALEB accepts ND at Credit level in Computer Science or Sciences related studies may be considered for admission by direct entry provided they have the UME subjects at one sitting.

(xxxii) BAYERO accepts:
(a) National Diploma in Computer Science or Computer Studies, NCE in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronics.
(b) HND (in relevant fields-Computer Science, Graphics, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical/Electronics).
(c) B.Sc Degree (Natural Science, Physical Science, and Environmental Science).

(xxxiii) NTNU accepts any two A’ level passes in Science subjects, ND/HND (lower credit) or NCE (merit) in relevant fields.

(xxxiv) BSU accepts ND (upper credit)/HND (lower credit) in relevant fields and NCE (merit) in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or Computer Science.

(xxxv) UMYUK accepts National Diploma in Computer Science not below lower credit.NCE (Computer Science and any other from Mathematics or Physics) with a minimum of 9 points. IJMB (Mathematics, Physics and any other science subject) with a minimum of 9 points.

(xxxvi) SOUTHWESTERN accepts:
a. Accept NCE merit in Mathematics.
b. NCE/ND/HND (Credit) in related field.

(xxxvii) KUST accepts ND in Engineering or Mathematics with a minimum of Upper Credit.

(xxxviii) UNIABUJA accepts two A level credit passes in Physics and any one of Chemistry, Physics Mathematics or Statistics in that order OR NCE (minimum 10 points) with Credit Passes in Physics and another Science subject OR ND(upper credit) in relevant area.
