JAMB Subject Combination for Plant Science and Biotechnology
In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Plant Science and Biotechnology under the Faculty of Sciences in the institutions listed above are: Biology, Chemistry and any other Science subject.

(i) FED-OYEEKITI require Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics
O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates (Brochure for Plant Science and Biotechnology)
To apply for Plant Science and Biotechnology as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks (Brochure for Plant Science and Biotechnology)
(i) UNIBEN accept a pass in Physics.
(ii) FED-OYEEKITI accepts five ‘O’ level Credit passes to include English language and Mathematics and any three of Biology, Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Agricultural Science and Geography.
(iii) BSU for Plant Science and Biotechnology accepts passes in five (5) prescribed subjects in Preliminary Science of BSU in addition to minimum UTME score.
Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates (Brochure for Plant Science and Biotechnology)
To apply for Plant Science and Biotechnology as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes in Biology/Botany/Zoology and Chemistry or Physics.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) AAUA accepts ND (upper credit) in Forestry and HND (pass) in Forestry and other relevant discipline.
(ii) UNIBEN in addition to UTME requirements accepts ND (Upper credit) / HND (Lower credit) in Food Technology or Science Laboratory Technology; NCE(credit) in Biology/Chemistry.
(iii) FED-OYEEKITI accepts two A level passes in any of biology, botany, chemistry, geography, mathematics or Physics.
