JAMB Subject Combination for Surveying and Geoinformatics

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Surveying and Geoinformatics under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology in the institutions listed above are: Physics, Mathematics, and any of Chemistry, Geography, Art, Biology and Economics

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) OAU requires Physics or Mathematics, any of Biology, geography, Economics, Chemistry.

(ii) FUTA requires:

a) for Quantity Surveying English Language, Mathematics and Physics plus one subject from Chemistry, Building Construction, Technical Drawing, Geography, Economics and Government.

b) For Remote Sensing Mathematics, Chemistry, and any one Geography, Biology or Physics.

(iii) UNILAG requires Mathematics, Physics and any one of Chemistry, Geography or Economics for Quantity Surveying.

(iv) BELLS accepts Economics for Quantity Surveying.

(v) IMSU – Mathematics, Physics and Geography.

(vi) BAUCHI requires, Mathematics, Physics and any of Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Geography, Biology, Information Technology or Land Surveying.

(vii) UNN requires Mathematics, Physics and one other subject.

(viii) ESUTECH for Surveying and Geoinformatics requires Mathematics, Physics and any one from Chemistry, Geography, Economics, Government, Biology or Agricultural Science.

(ix) FUTO requires Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

O’Level Requirements for Surveying and Geoinformatics for UTME Candidates

To apply for Surveying and Geoinformatics as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any of Fine Art, Geography or Wood Work, Biology, Economics, Tech. Draw, Further. Mathematics., Introduction to Building Construction, Bricklaying/Block laying, Concreting, Wall, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Joinery, Carpentary, Decorative Painting, Lining, Sign and Design, Wall Hanging, Colour Mixing/Matching and Glazing, Ceramics, Graphics Design, Graphic Printing, Basic Electricity.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks (JAMB Brochure for Surveying and Geoinformatics)

(i) OAU accepts credit in Chemistry.

(ii) ESUTECH requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include Mathematics, Physics , English Language and any other science subject Accepts either of Physics or Chemistry.

(iii) FUTA requires five credits in the WASSCE or NECO or GCE O’ Level or its equivalent in English Language, Mathematics and Physics and any two of the following subjects: Chemistry, Economics, Building Construction, Technical Drawing, Geography, and Government.

(iv) MAUTECH requires credit passes to include including English, Mathematics, Physics and any two of Geography, Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Fine Arts, Economics, Biology and Agricultural Science

(v) UNILAG requires credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two of Geography, Chemistry, Technical Drawing and Economics.

(vi) UNIZIK may accept a pass in English Language

(vii) UNIZIK accept a pass in English Language.

(viii) IMSU accepts Mathematics, and any other subject.

(ix) UNIZIK accepts Technical Drawing, Fine Art and Economics and accepts a pass in English Language.

(x) BELLS requires Five SSCE Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, and any one from the following:, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economics. For Survey and Geoinformatics requires Five SSCE Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and any one from Biology and Geography.

(xi) UNN accepts SSCE or its equivalent with five credits including Mathematics, Physics and English Language.

(xii) BAUCHI requires five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two from Chemistry. Technical Drawing, Geography, Biology, Information Technology or Land Surveying.

(xiii) RSUST requires five (5) SSCE/GCE O’ level credit level passes and should include Physics. English Language, Chemistry. Mathematics and any Science subject from Geography, Technical Drawing, and Economics.

(xiv) UNIJOS accepts five credit passes at ‘O’ level Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination or equivalent and must include: English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any subjects from Technical Drawing, Economics. Geography, Chemistry, Biology, Commerce, Building Construction, Land Surveying and Fine Arts.

(xv) ESUTECH for Surveying and Geoinformatics requires credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two from Chemistry, Geography, Biology, Technical Drawing, Fine and Applied Arts and Economics.

(xvi) FUTO requires at least five credits at ‘O’ Level in English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics plus any other subject taken from Biology, Geography, Economics, Fine Arts, Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates (JAMB Brochure for Surveying and Geoinformatics)

To apply for Surveying and Geoinformatics as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: (i) Two ‘A’ level passes chosen from Mathematics or Physics and Chemistry, Geography or Fine Arts.

(ii) ND/HND upper credits in relevant field.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks (JAMB Brochure for Surveying and Geoinformatics)

(i) UNN accepts:

(a) ND in Architectural Technology or Building Technology at upper credit level plus the UTME requirements.

(b) GCE A’ level, HSC or equivalent passes in Mathematics and Physics, and any other subject plus UTME requirement.

(ii) OAU requires three A/L passes chosen from Mathematics, and two other subjects from Physics, Economics and Tech. Drawing.

(iii) FUTA accepts (ND) in Architecture or related disciplines with Upper Credit level pass, from NBTE accredited institutions may be considered for admission for Direct Entry provided they meet the minimum entry requirements
Candidates with the GCE ‘A’ level passes in at least two subjects from Mathematics, Geography and Physics can also be considered for admission provided they meet the minimum entry requirements.

(iv) OAU, UNIJOS require ND/HND (Upper Credit) in Architecture or other relevant qualifications, plus UTME requirements. UYO accepts HND (lower credit).

(v) RSUST accept ND/HND (upper credit) in relevant fields into 200 and 300 level respectively plus UTME requirements. RSUST requires A’ level passes in Mathematics and Physics and any other three subjects from English Language, Building Construction, Fine Arts, Technical Drawing, Chemistry may be admitted into 200 level.

(vi) FUTMINNA accepts candidates who have undergone an accredited course in Architecture in any of the approved Colleges of Technology or Polytechnics in addition to UTME requirements.

(vii) IMSU – requires ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics and Physics and accepts NCE (Credit) in relevant fields.

(viii) MAUTECH accepts Two `A’ Level passes from Mathematics, Physics and any one of Chemistry, TD, Fine Art Geography and Economics

(ix) BAUCHI:

a) Require two ‘A’ level pass or equivalent in Mathematics, Physics and any of Chemistry, Technical Drawing. Fine Arts, Geography, Economics, Building Construction and Land Surveying.

b) Accepts ND/HND with upper credits in fields relevant to Architecture

(x) UNILAG requires;

(a) Very good passes in three JUPEB/A-LEVEL subjects: Mathematics, Physics, and any one of Chemistry. Biology, Economics or Geography or Fine Arts

(b) HND/ND (Distinction) in Architecture into 300/200 level and O/Level requirements.

(xii) BELLS accepts

(a) Two A’ Level passes from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

(b) ND/HND (Upper Credit respectively) in Architecture.

(c) May consider Lower Credit in ND/HND

(xx) CALEB accepts ND at Credit level in Architecture or Sciences related studies may be considered for admission by direct entry provided they have the UME subjects at one sitting.

(xiii) FUTO requires:

a. At least three `A` Level passes not below Grade C in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

b. At least Upper Credit ND/HND in relevant fields and does not accept NCE. Candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements.
