In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Applied Biology and Biotechnology under the Faculty of Sciences in the institutions listed above are:
Chemistry, Biology and either Physics or Mathematics
O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates
To apply for Applied Biology and Biotechnology as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Biology, Maths, Chemistry and any one of Health Science, Statistics, Physics and Geography
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) WUSTO requires five credit passes in English, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other science subject.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates
To apply for Applied Biology and Biotechnology as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes in Biology and either Chemistry or Physics.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) WUSTO accepts:
(a) At least 2 “A” level passes in Biology and Chemistry or Physics.
(b) Upper Credit passes in NCE and ND in addition to 5 Credits at WASC/GCE O’L / SSCE (or its equivalent)
