JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Applied Biology under the Faculty of Sciences in the institutions listed above are:

Chemistry, Biology and either Physics or Mathematics

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for Applied Biology as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Biology, Maths, Chemistry and any one of Health Science, Statistics, Physics and Geography

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for Applied Biology as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes in Biology and either Chemistry or Physics.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) RSUST accepts holders of the following qualifications for year II
(a) ND in relevant fields for admissions to 200 level;
(b) HND relevant to the field for admissions to 300 level.

(ii) EBSU accepts HND, NCE and ND with a minimum of Merit and Upper credit respectively in the relevant fields.
