JAMB Subject Combination for Marine Engineering Technology

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Marine Engineering Technology under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology in the institutions listed above are: Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics or Technical Drawing.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates (JAMB Brochure for Marine Engineering Technology)

To apply for Marine Engineering Technology as a UTME candidate, you require: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and any two subjects from: Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics,Metal Work,Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Tech.), Further Mathematics, English Language, Geography, Economics/Commerce. For Marine Engineering and Industrial Safety and Environmental Engineering a pass in Biology is required.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for Marine Engineering Technology as a Direct Entry candidate, you require:

(i) FCFMT: accepts any other qualification considered relevant by the College Academic Board.
