JAMB Brochure for Personnel Management Under Faculty of Administration

This part of the JAMB brochure shows you the requirements to apply for Personnel Management under the Faculty of Administration in Nigeria. You will see the UTME subject combination needed to apply for the course, O’level requirements for UTME candidates, requirements such A’level, ND, HND, NCE, etc for Direct Entry candidates, as well as other information you require to successfully apply for the course.

  • Elizade University
  • Niger Delta University
  • Rivers State University of Science and Technology

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Personnel Management under the Faculty of Administration in the institutions listed above are:

Economics and Two other subjects.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for Personnel Managementas a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credits in English Language, Economics and three other subjects plus at least a pass in Maths. For NBC holders, three other Subjects could be from any of the following: Office Practice, Secretarial Duties, Principles of Accounts, Shorthand 80 WPM and Typewriting 35 WPM.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) RSUST requires credit pass in Mathematics.

(ii) NDU requires five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Economics or Commerce and three (3) Arts subjects plus at least a pass in Mathematics in not more than two sittings.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for Personnel Management as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes chosen from Economics, Accounting and Business Management.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) RSUST accepts:
a) Shorthand and Typewriting speeds of 80/35 wpm into 200 level, otherwise such candidates will be admitted into 100 level.
b) ND, U.D (Secretarial Studies/Administration Upper Credit/Distinction for Admissions in Year II and HND relevant to the programmes for admission into Year III.

(ii) OOU accepts NCE/ND/HND (lower credit) in Secretarial Administration or related fields.
