Does UNN Write Post UTME Screening Exams?

Yes, UNN has been writing Post UTME screening exams over the years except in the year 2016 when Post UTME was proscribed by FG at the national level. So in the year 2016, UNN used UTME score and screening of O’level results to calculate the aggregate score of candidates for admission.

Also UNN did not conduct Post UTME Screening examination in 2022 due to security concerns. There were issues of kidnapping of students in Nsukka area.

But the school has said that it would conduct Post UTME screening test for the 2023/2024 academic session. So candidates for this session need to start preparing for the Post UTME test.

Is UNN Writing Post UTME Screening Exam this Year, 2023?

YES. UNN will conduct Post UTME screening test for 2023/2024 candidates. This will go beyond simple screening of candidates’ credentials. There’s going to be tests.

So the UNN Post UTME Screening Exercise for 2023/2024 shall involve tests.

The UNN Post UTME screening test will start from Tuesday, October 03 to Friday October, 13 2023.

Tidy up your registration, ensuring that you properly upload your O/Level and Direct Entry results and other necessary documents. Remember to also upload your verified O’level results at CAPS. Those who fail to do so at record time shall not be considered for admission eventually.

After registration, start preparing for the UNN Post UTME screening test so that you can get a score high enough to secure admission in your dream course.

More so, you are also strongly advised to visit the University of Nigeria Website for further information.

UNN Post UTME Screening Registration Deadline 2023

The UNN Post UTME Screening registration deadline is Friday, September 15, 2023. In other words, the registration would end on midnight of Friday, September 15, 2023. So you can neither pay for nor do your UNN Post UTME registration after the deadline.

Therefore, do your best to register on or before Friday, September. There shall be no extension or postponement of deadline.

If you miss your UNN Post UTME registration, you will only have another opportunity next year. Except you want to try other schools apart from UNN.

Can I Register for UNN Post UTME Screening Without First School Leaving Certificate or Local Government Identification?

Many UNN aspirants have a peculiar challenge. It is the fact that for some, their First School Leaving Certificate is not yet out and may not be out before the registration deadline. Others live in states far away from their home towns making it difficult to get their Local Government Identification.

Many others for one reason or the other do not have one required document or the other. So it is such candidates that ask the question, “Can I Register for UNN Post UTME Screening Without this document or that?”

I get many queries from candidates on this and the truth is that there is not direct answer. Admission is highly competitive and no one wants to do anything to give their competitors undue advantage. It is very advisable to upload all the documents specified by the school as registration requirements. Do your best to meet the requirements because thousands of others will.

Many people’s FSL certificates are already out in their primary schools awaiting collection. So go and check yours. Collect and upload if it’s out. If it’s not, you can comment if you need advice. More so, you can collect your Local Government Identification anywhere you are. All you need is to find out how.

  1. Please help me…
I’m registering for the screening but the site don’t take me to the next page after filling my personal data.
It just reloads after clicking next or log out.
They keep on telling me it’s network
    Please any solution here
This has been this way since 23rd of this month

    • Who are those telling you it’s network? Are they business center operators?

Or are you doing it by yourself on your phone?

I’m asking because I want to know the extent you have gone trying to register and what else to advise you to do.

  2. Good evening sir
Please sir will there be putme exams? I registered and the admission slip is looking like there will be exams. I’m confused sir.

    • The school has said that there won’t be exams for this set. They haven’t made any recent update to the contrary.

By the way, is your Slip showing your aggregate score??

      • It’s not showing the aggregate score.
The slip just looks the same way it does when they write exams

      • No sir. It’s just jamb score.

        • It’s alright.

Going by the information made available by the school, there won’t be a written post utme exam.

In case they later decide to write the exam, be assured that they will give an update and on time too.

Meanwhile, you may wish to be reading if you can.

  3. Please since unn is using jamb and waec, how will they calculate the aggregate score

  4. Please sir,I registered for the post utme but didn’t submit my first school leaving and the other documents to be scanned
Can you direct me on what to do?

    • Did you scan and upload your O’level results?

The portal will be reopened for those who registered with awaiting result to upload their results.

  5. Hello Mr Henry Divine I bought the unn sure success past question and answers I called one of the tutors concerning lesson and up till now I haven’t been replied, please I need help urgently.

    • Sorry about your experience. I don’t know who you called and why there hasn’t been any response till now.

You can call me, let’s talk. 08060848179.

  6. I am unable to navigate pass the post utme o/level page. the system says that the post utme result to be uploaded must not be less than eight. but the system has already selected english and maths leaving only 7 columns blank.

  7. Thank you so much sir for this piece. But sir, I didn’t print out my JAMB result then. Pls is it still possible for me to do that now.

  8. Good day sir
Please are we to expect questions from novel sweet sixteen by Bolaji abdulahi?
Please a prompt reply would be so much appreciated

  9. Please what is the time limit for PUTME?

    • 60 Minutes.

      • Sir can I register for post utme without my testimonial

        • Yes, you can especially if you upload “anything” instead of the testimonial. But it’s absolutely not advisable. If the school says it’s a requirement, it’s important that you try to meet it.

The simple reason is that admission is very competitive and you don’t want to give others undue advantage over you. Hope you got my point?

  10. Good day sir, I have uploaded my o level result on jamb cap, will the school copy the result from jamb cap or do I have to upload it in the school portal as well

  11. Good day sir,
The person that processed my PUTME registration did the print out without uploading my FSLC. Please, will it still be possible for me to upload it? I’ve heard so many things, don’t know what to believe anymore. Thanks.

    • The truth of the matter is that as I’m typing this, you would not be able to effect any adjustment or changes to your UNN post utme registration. However, the school would likely re-open the registration portal later to allow those registered with awaiting result to upload their O’level results. You may wish to upload your FSLC then.

      • Thanks so much. That means there’s still hope.
Please can you notify me when the portal is reopened? I don’t want to miss that opportunity. Thanks.

…..And should I drop my email address here?

  12. Good evening, the person that processed my direct entry did my print out without my First School leaving Certificate and Secondary school testimonial because I was not able to get them at that time. Will it cause problems in the future?
Besides, I have the documents now. Is it possible to go back and fill it?

    • The school normally gives room for SS3 students who just finished their O’level exams to enter their results on the portal as soon as they are released.

For direct entry candidates, I don’t think there’s any reason to reopen the portal after the deadline of registration.

When the time comes, you can go with the originals of your credentials for physical verification (i.e. if you are given the opportunity).

  13. should we learn from our post UTME past question or should we learn our jamb past questions

  14. Pls can I use the Computer printout of the FSL instead of the actual certificate?

  15. I don’t hav my first school leaving certificate (it’s still with the school), I don have my local government identification testimonial for now. I don’t know is I can still register for post utme without the two.

    • The school said they are required. If they said so, then they are required. The issue is not whether or not you can register for post utme without them. It’s whether you would eventually be successful in your admission search without them.

You can get both documents if you want. Thankfully, schools have resumed. You can go and get your FSL certificate now. Getting your local government identification letter is even easier.

If you choose not to get the documents, you can go to court and swear an affidavit to cover them.

The ball is in your court.

  16. I had 211 in jamb ,and I want to do medical laboratory science, do I have high chances of getting admitted if I score high in post utme or should I switch to microbiology?

    • If you score VERY high in UNN post utme, then you stand a chance. Buying JAMB change of course form now is not advisable.

  17. Pld does UNN ask questions from the novel “the last day at forcado school” for those of US vying for DE?

Secondly, I have SURE SUCCESS PAST QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS with me, but I can’t see past questions and answers specific for DE candidates?.
Thanks in anticipation for your reply

    • UNN can ask questions from any novel they deem necessary. So just read as many as you can lay your hands on.

UNN uses the same examination halls and systems for both UTME and DE candidates. The only difference is the date of the exams.

      • Good day sir i wanted to study Law but i got 260 so i changed to political science… Do i stand a chance of gaining admission in Unn and is it possible to switch back to law… Pls reply am really confuse

        • What are your utme subjects? Did you bother checking if they are okay for political science?

        • Sir henry divine, please can you notify us when Unn reopens registration portal for us that used awaiting result so that we can upload our result

        • Normally, the school would require you to upload your o’level results on JAMB portal.

If UNN opens her portal for upload of O’level results, I will notify you on this website.

      • Chukwuemeka Okafor

Pls sir is my secondary School certificate needed for the registration of postutme. And will this sure success be able to help me score above 300

        • The required documents for UNN Post UTME Registration are as listed in this announcement above. Please scroll back up and read through.

On the question of whether the SURE SUCCESS book will help you to score above 300, I want you to know many other who have used it before scored above 300 while some score far lower.

SURE Success is a good PREPARATORY HANDBOOK, it all depends on what you are able to make out of it.

    • Pls Sir,will i still be able to print out my JAMB result if I haven’t done that

  18. Do you know I almost fell down when I heard that UNN post UTME is out?

Thanks anyway. We’ll keep in touch.

    • Funny…

      Thanks for checking in brother.

    • Please I applied for foreign languages in UNN.what subjects are required from my WAEC , AND what are my subject combination in POST UTME. THANKS

      • Your post utme subjects are the same as your utme subjects.

        For your O’level,
you need a credit pass in the language to be studied, and credit passes in English and three other arts subjects (one of which must be Literature). Remember you must also credit one science subject to be admitted in UNN.

      • Sir, will there be a calculator in the screen of the computer, if the UNN POST UTME is CBT, just like JAMB? Some calculations are not easily done mentally.

        • Yes, there will be

        • Good evening sir. I registered for UNN postume exams last year, is it necessary for me to reprint again to know the venue and date for my exam? Or just follow the score ranges on the school’s website and go to the exam venue with my acknowledgement slip

        • Yes, the post utme exam schedule remains as already published. But you are advised to reprint your acknowledgement slip less than 48hours before your exam.

      • Have UNN released 1st admission list caused I checked some sites and it says UNN has released 1st admission list while some other sites said UNN is yet to release 1st admission list
        I am confused

        • You are confused because you have not taken time to identify genuine websites that post only accurate and reliable information. But you really don’t need to be confused.

UNN has not released or published her first admission list (merit list). If you stay in touch with this website, you will be among the first to know when the admission list is released.

          Cheers!

  19. What. Is the cut off mark pls
