Enugu State Scholarship Board
Enugu State Scholarship board was established in 2009 under the Sullivan administration with the objective, inter alia, of ensuring that many indigent but exceptionally brilliant students are given the opportunity to go to school.
Since the establishment of the board, not so many people knew about its existence until the administration of His Excellency, Rt. Honourable Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi. In his administration, the board became a household name through the award of various degrees of scholarships to Enugu indigenes to study both within and outside the country.
The Scholarship board has automated the system of application of scholarships through its portal that enables all Enugu applicants create an account through which all their applications are made and processed. This portal is designed in such a way that enables the applicants track the status update of their applications online without any human interference.
In addition to the above, the portal offers CBT solutions that make the conduct of aptitude tests and exams seamless. It equally contains an internal control mechanism to ensure that non-Enugu indigenes do not usurp the opportunities meant for ‘ndi’ Enugu.
So the state government has got you covered.

How to Apply for Enugu State Government Bursary, Undergraduate and Post-graduate Scholarships
Please follow the simple steps
STEP 1: Obtain Application Voucher from the Board Office: 28 okpara Avenue, old CCB building, Enugu.
You may, however, call any of the following numbers to obtain the voucher. 07032284693, 09033661882, 09044022730, 09045085589, 09054915257, 07053900572.
STEP 2: Prepare Required Documents To upload.
For Bursary Allowance:
- School Id Card.
- Admission Letter or Your profile print-out from your school portal.
- Letter from your HOD on the departmental Letterhead stating your current CGPA.
- Certificate of LGA Origin.
- Recommendation letter from village head.

For Undergraduate Scholarship:
- Your WAEC/NECO or equivalent result.
- JAMB admission letter or its equivalent.
- Certificate of LGA Origin.
- Recommendation letter from village head.
For Post-graduate Scholarship:
- Your 1st degree result/certificate.
- Admission letter from the post graduate institution.
- Certificate of LGA Origin.
- Recommendation letter from village head.
Note: All respective documents should be scanned into one PDF file not more than 1mb in size. If File size exceed 1mb, your application will not be considered for review.

Please which site do I use to apply for the scholarship?

Pls I have been calling the numbers to purchase my voucher but non of it are going is either switch off or number busy pls I need this scholarship n it is ending tomorrow
The application vouchers are not for sale. They are given to interested students for free.
The numbers are hot lines. Hundreds of people are trying to get through. So most times they are busy.
I suggest you go in person to their office. You will get the voucher.
Sir, I thought the scholarship doesn’t discriminate on Courses of study?
Why is my Course(Public Administration) not listed on the “Scholarship program” and yet I can not submit my application without selecting one of the courses listed therein?
I don’t know how you got the application voucher – whether you visited the office or got it through phone call.
I suggest that you use the same means to direct this question to the scholarship board. They are in the best position to give you an answer as to why Public Administration is not listed for the current opportunity. It’s only the board’s office that can give you a valid answer, and maybe suggest if you can select any available close department to yours just in order to be able to submit your application.

Because am currently in School
Some people have been able to get the vouchers through the numbers. You can try again and again; try on week days during office hours.
Otherwise, send someone to the board’s office to get it for you if you can’t go by yourself.

Can letter of attestation from my parish priest in enugu serve instead of from village head cos I’m not in enugu now
There’s something many of you are missing.
By reason of this scholarship advert, the board will receive thousands of applications in excess of the available slots. And there must be criteria for disqualifying applicants even before the selection test.
Try to meet up with the clearly stated requirements to be on the safe side.
You can send a relation in the village to get the letter and waybill for you.
Pls I am just newly admitted, so I don’t think I have anything in my GPA for now

Can I use local govt identification in place of the letter from village head???
As a newly admitted student, apply as 100level. Every other thing will be understood.
Please note that Certificate of LGA origin and Recommendation letter from your village head are two different requirements and you need both.
