About Afe Babalola University (ABUAD)
Afe Babalola University, also known as ABUAD, is one of the mant private universities in Nigeria. It is a high profile institution which many believe is among the best when it comes to privately-owned institutions.
ABUAD is domiciled Ado-Ekiti. It was founded in 2009 by Afe Babalola under the regime of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Afe Babalola also doubles as the Chancellor of the university while Prof. Elisabeta Smaranda Olarinde is the acting Vice-chancellor.
The university has 6 colleges:
- Law
- Sciences
- Social and Management Sciences
- Medicine and Health Sciences
- Engineering
- postgraduate studies
ABUAD boasts of mordern state-of-the-art facilities, specious lecture theatres, well-equipped laboratories and conference halls. More so, the school has a Teaching Hospital, bakery, cafeteria, Laundry, water processing plants and many other facilities.
ABUAD’s Admission Procedures
Since Afe Babalola University is fully accredited and under the NUC, their admission procedure is the same as those of other institutions.
All the aspiring candidate requires is to meet the O’level and UTME requirements of the course they want to study in ABUAD.
Of course you know the requirements. Credit five requisite subjects in SSCE and pass JAMB’s UTME. Thereafter, you visit the school campus for oral examination. A staff of the college or faculty you applied for will administer the examination to determine your eligibility for admission.
Direct Entry students only need to go through the oral examination after applying via JAMB Portal.
ABUAD School Fees Portal
The ABUAD school fees portal is the online platform where students of Afe Babalola University pay their school fees. Students should note that there are several things they cannot do on the ABUAD Portal until they have paid their school fees.
For example, you cannot register your courses online or apply for school hostel accommodation or bedspace if you have not paid your school fees. So it’s very important to pay your school fees and on time too.

The following are the procedures for making payment on the ABUAD School Fees Portal. They clearly show you how to make payment of school fees. So read it carefully before proceeding to pay your fees.

1. Payment of Afe Babalola University School Fees
To pay your school fees, the first thing you need to do is to generate a payment invoice from the school fees portal.
Here are the simple steps to generate a school fees payment invoice
- Locate the “Payments” icon on the main menu of the portal
- Click on “Generate Payment Invoice”
- Provide the correct amount on the ABUAD school fees schedule entering it in the space under “Enter Amount to Pay” (Do not include spaces, commas, full stops or any other special characters in the amount. Only numbers are required)
- Then click on “Add Payment”.
- This will generate an invoice which contains a unique Transaction Reference Number (TRN). Use this TRN to make payment either via the PayDirect platform or the Quickteller platform.
NOTE: You may not delete or correct any generated invoice by yourself. Therefore, ensure to generate a correct invoice by entering the right school fees amount. If you have previously generated an invoice, you may access it by clicking on the “Payments” Icon on the main menu and selecting the “My Invoice History” option. This page lists the generated invoices and also provides their statuses.
Making payment via PayDirect
Print out your invoice or copy the Transaction Reference Number. Thereafter, proceed to make payment with it at any commercial bank. The bank teller will conduct the transaction on the PayDirect Platform.
Making payment via Quickteller (Pay with your ATM Card)
This is how to pay your Afe Babalola University school fees via Quickteller using your ATM card.
- Go to https://www.quickteller.com/afebabalola or click on the “Quickteller” icon at the bottom of the e-portal page.
- In the next screen, enter the email address (preferably that of the card holder) and the Transaction Reference Number in spaces provided.
- Select “ABUAD FEES” as the payment option.
- Then click on “Continue”.
- Next, enter your ATM Card number.
- Select your account type and enter the card expiry date and CCV in the spaces provided.
- Click on the “PIN” space and you will then be required to enter your card pin by clicking on the appropriate numbers from the keyboard shown on your screen and click on “Pay”.
- An OTP (One-time password) will be sent as SMS to the phone number attached to the bank account from which the payment is being made.
- Open the text message on your phone to view the OTP and enter it in the space provided on your screen.
- You will immediately be notified on your screen if your payment is successful or not.
2. Print Afe Babalola University School Fees Receipt
After successful payment via either PayDirect or Quickteller, the student portal is automatically updated with the payment. So you can immediately print your school fees payment receipt.
To print your payment receipt from the portal,
- click again on the “Payments” Icon on the main menu.
- Select the “My Invoice History” option.
- For invoices that have been paid, the status changes to “Paid”. Click on the “Print Receipt” button to print.
Note that you must print your payment receipts and present them on resumption.
To view your payment summary, click on “Dashboard” on the main menu.
3. Pay other Fees
Of course you know that there are other fees apart from the school fees. You can see these other fees by simply logging in. Once you login, you will see the fees lineup page.
If you need to return to the fees lineup page at any point, click on the “Payments” Icon on the main menu and select the “Fees Lineup” option. This shows the list of other payments you need to make. Follow the screen prompts to make the payments.
Remember to print your payment receipts as you will need to present them on resumption.
4. Get room allocation
Remember that payment of Afe Babalola School Fees is a prerequisite to getting room allocation. So you must do the first things first.
After successful payment, you may wish to proceed to get hostel allocation. You can do so by clicking on the “Room Allocation” icon on the main menu. Then follow the screen prompt to print your room allocation slip.
