You are welcome again to suresuccess.ng website. This article titled, “How to Secure Admission into UNN with Shopping Form” is prepared specially for University of Nigeria aspirants who missed admission in the recently released primary admission list. I felt the need to write this because I discovered that once some candidates miss merit admission; they lose hope because they have no clue about what to do to ensure that they still secure admission in the year in question. Some give up while some others still strive but strive amiss.
Many candidates seeking admission into the UNN with a high average score make a very common mistake. When the merit admission list is released and their name is not there, they relax in the false belief that their name will still come out in the supplementary list for their original prospective course. No. It doesn’t work that way. There is a proven way to secure admission into the University of Nigeria, Nsukka using the UNN Shopping Form once a candidate is not admitted in the merit list.
Note, however, that it is not every candidate that purchases the UNN Shopping Form that would eventually gain admission in the first or second supplementary list. This implies that there is need to follow the best practices if your admission dreams must become a reality. So, while there is need to shop early, I advise you to take a little time to read through this article to not only avoid the subtle pitfalls but also to ensure that you secure admission at the end of the day.

Mistakes to Avoid While Paying for UNN Shopping Form
From all I’ve said so far, you must have discovered that it is possible for a candidate to, in the name of shopping, waste both money and time waiting for supplementary admission into UNN. So, before jumping at the links for payment and generating invoice, it is important to carefully note all there is to know about UNN Shopping Form for Admission Process. When you know the common mistakes candidates make during shopping and carefully avoid them, you will be insured against disappointment and heartbreak at the end. Continue reading.
1). Avoid Wrong Subject Combinations
This is very important! Actually, wrong subject combination is one of the primary reasons why many jeopardize their admission chances during shopping. Yes, their subject combination is perfect for their original prospective course, but they forget to find out if the same subject combination is right for the new course they want to shop into for supplementary admission. So you find a candidate who originally applied for Medicine and Surgery (with the subjects English language, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) now shopping for Computer Science which requires Mathematics.
Don’t make such a grave mistake. Every course has what is called entry requirements and those are in addition to JAMB score and Post-UTME score (or just reaching the departmental cut-off mark). Ensure that you factor in the necessity for the right subject combination while making your choice for the course to shop for in the UNN Shopping Form for Supplementary Admissions.
Note that there are some faculties whose subject combination by default do not suit any other faculty. If you originally went for a course in such faculty and missed merit admission, ensure that you shop within the same faculty to be on the safe side.
2). Do Not Shop for ‘a Higher Course’
This is another point to consider. Just because all the courses are available for shopping does not mean that they are all ideal for everyone or anyone to shop into. Before shopping, consider the departmental cutoff marks of the courses you have in mind. Don’t shop for a course whose cutoff mark is even higher than that of the course you missed in the merit list. That would be folly.
Many others even shop for the same course they missed in the merit list believing that they will get it in the supplementary list. It doesn’t work that way. If you missed merit admission into a course, it means that you did not qualify for the course because your average did not reach the cut-off mark. Shopping again for the same course does not make sense.
For example, if you scored an average below 270, it will be a grave mistake to shop for any course with cutoff marks higher or even equal to 270. You need to step down in your choice of course.
3). Shop Early and Target Courses with High Shortfalls
When the school advertises courses for shopping, they come along with shortfalls. The shortfalls are the number of available admission slots. It is very advisable to both shop as early as possible and also shop for courses with the highest possible intake.
But remember. Many other candidates will also be thinking in this direction. That makes the whole process both technical and competitive. But if you have a firm grasp of the technicalities involved and do the right thing at the right time, you will surely secure admission in an alternative department.

can I shop for medical laboratory science with an average score of 262.3
I don’t think that Medical Laboratory Science was advertised for shopping for 2023/2024 admission.
Good morning sir please I shopped for Human Anatomy and my Aggregate is 256.2 what’s my chances of getting admitted … I’m from imo state.
If you have the right subject combination for Human Anatomy, stay hopeful. (Although the stakes are always high for Imo state)
Good evening sir, please is UNN Shopping Form out?. Please I want to know sir
It’s not yet out.
Am a computer science aspirant, can I shop for computer science again, if No what is the related course(computer science) that I can shop for
If you initially applied for Computer Science but your name was not shortlisted in the merit admission list, it means that your aggregate score did not reach the cut off mark for the course. It is not advisable to shop for the same computer science again, you will waste the money if you do.
Though you did not state your UTME subjects here, the best advice I can give is that you should shop for the Department of Combined Physical Sciences (Computer Statistics). It’s still related to computer science and has a very high shortfall.
Best wishes.
