10 Vital Things Every Candidate Should Know About JAMB Mock Exam


The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has already set in motion plans to conduct a smooth mock UTME examination for interested candidates who are aspiring for admission into the nation’s universities, polytechnics and colleges of education.

In view of that, there are a few important things you need to know about this year’s mock UTME examinations that would be conducted by JAMB.

10 Vital Things you Need to Know

  1. Interested candidates are advised to register on time, indicate their choices of institutions, courses and examination towns/centres in the process.
  2. Candidates’ first choice can be a College of Education (CoE), a university, an Innovation Enterprise Institution, a polytechnic or a monotechnic. Other available choices include the Nigerian Defence Academy or the Police Academy.
  3. The board is set to conduct a better examination, ensure more transparent admission and make more remittances to the government.
  4. The mock examination is not compulsory. Only those who indicated interest during the registration are eligible.
  5. Candidates who indicated interest should check their JAMB UTME registration email for their respective centres and time of the exam.
  6. Candidates are advised to visit their profiles on JAMB portal and print their examination slips. This examination slip is meant to contain information concerning their venue and time of the exam. To print your slip, log on to http://www.jamb.org.ng/efacility using your email address and password. On the page that loads, click on the TAB “Print Mock Examination Slip”. Then go ahead and view/print your mock examination slip.
  7. Candidates are strongly advised not to pay for the mock UTME examination until they are assigned a CBT centre by JAMB. This is very important.
  8. The payment for Mock UTME examination shall not be made to JAMB but to the CBT centre to which the candidate is assigned and that must be after the candidate has received notification of assigned centre for the mock examination.
  9. The CBT Centres are permitted by JAMB to collect through their (CBT Centres) bank accounts, a separate ₦700 only, for the examination only after notification of centre has been received by the candidate.
  10. There shall be no make-up test for those who will miss the Mock UTME Examination.
