JAMB UTME Subject Combination

In UTME, note that English Language is mandatory for all courses. The other three subjects required to study Physiology under the Faculty of Medical, Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences in the institutions listed above are:
Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) OOU accepts any three of Physics/ Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology
(ii) BABCOCK accepts any three of Physics, Chemistry Biology and Mathematics.

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates

To apply for Physiology as a UTME candidate, you require: Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNILORIN accepts a pass in English Language with distinction in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.
(ii) UNIBADAN require the O level Credit passes at one sitting.
(iii) UNIBEN at least five ‘O’ level credit passes in WAEC, SSCE/GCE, NECO/SSCE or any other recognized equivalent at not more than two sittings. The subjects should include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates

To apply for Physiology as a Direct Entry candidate, you require: Two ‘A’ level passes chosen from Chemistry, Physics and Biology/Zoology.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNIBADAN requires two A’ level passes from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany plus UTME requirements.
(ii) UNICAL and UNIPORT- No direct entry.
(iii) UNILORIN requires ‘A’ level passes from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
(iv) UNILAG accepts very good passes in three JUPEB/A-LEVEL subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
(v) AAU accepts B.Sc Degree in relevant fields with good grade. Remedial results not acceptable.
(vi) LAUTECH accepts ‘A’ Level passes in Biology and Chemistry or Physics or ND with Upper Credit or /HND in relevant discipline.
(vii) UNIBEN accepts:
a) Three Advance level passes in GCE or HSC or any of their equivalent at not more than two sittings. Subjects are Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Zoology in addition to O’ level requirements.
b) At least a second Class Lower Degree from a recognized University in any of the following. B.C Biological Sciences (Biochemistry, Microbiology, Zoology, Botany)
